Make the rust monster actively seek out and destroy iron and gold ore blocks (and their drops).
Gold does not oxidize (i.e. rust). In fact, iron is the only metal that rusts.
Also, I'd disagree with that; cave exploring is he only really efficient way to get iron, and if these things destroy all of it before you can even get there, it'll be far to difficult to obtain iron.
Unless it happens again, it was probably just a glitch in the game mechanics. Not sure why it happened or what caused it, but that's probably all it was.
Thank you, that was what I thought too. But dang, I had my first redstone in that world in my inventory right then. :tongue.gif: Guess I'll just have to go digging for more.
Oh, don't worry about that.
You'll be throwing your excess to the dogs herobrines after about 30 minutes of mining.
Well, the other day, I had this dream where Herobrine was on my unmodded game, right in front of me, and I was about to go to the forums and ask who was ****ing with me because he couldn't possibly exist.
That should really explain my viewpoint on the matter.
You have the correct setup, water can only flow 8 spaces before it stops, and if there is a drop at the 9th space (like you have) items will fall down into that hole.
Dude that's a canal not a sink. I need the water to go all the way around. is this possible without confusing the water flow?
Do you plan to make it so that, instead of dropping their loot, mobs have a GUI that you can access by right clicking their ragdolls to remove the items? You'd need to make them last a lot longer, which might be impractical, of course, and maybe increase their drops, but it'd be very cool.
I usually try to make a wood house as big as I can, because usually I just use it an entrance to my underground empire; the biggest upgrade I'll normally make is giving it brick or cobblestone walls.
A skeleton spawner hooked up to a minecart track that loops automatically would be good. You need to make sure that the player can't dig underneath, though...

Exactly. That's a very poorly made assumption on the OP's part.
