Hmm. Seems interesting, but also a little pointless, and redundant considering the fire arrows. However, if it does notably more damage total than the other arrows you could, for instance, fire it at a (probably fireproof) boss mob and briefly run off too get some pork for health, or just if it's too strong, and you want to hurt it while taking cover.
Edit: I'm going to start adding you guys' ideas to the OP. Some of these are really quite good.
Silipmud arrows, instead of slowing the enemy down, should just do no damage and stick to them. As a gag weapon, which will be fun to use in MP.
I don't see how that's funny. Why make it do nothing just so you can pester other players in SMP?

Also, the light arrows should just take a stack of 1 arrow and a stack of 1 gold dust to make, since you can't really make a whole arrow using the brittle stone.
Er, what? The recipe I suggested was that of a full arrow, but with dust added.

Quick question: If you banish a mob/other player to The Nether with the obsidian arrow, will you be able to go to hell and see them there? I guess it would be better, so as to avoid lag caused by further simulation, if you hit an enemy with the obsidian arrow, there will be a chance, growing smaller in every second based on how tough that mob in particular is that it will respawn while you are in the same chunk as where you were in the world when you shot it.
In SMP, there won't be any problems with it going straight to the Nether. In singleplayer, I imagine the game will make a note of it and randomly spawn it in the relevant area the next time you go to the Nether.
But Rhino's illustration was that of a Griffin. :C
And honestly, I think of Harry Potter when I hear that. It could be that's where he got the idea, or at least that's the impression I got. In any case, I think Griffins look better, as well as not being the medieval equivalent of the metaphorical flying pigs.
Edit: Hey, 228 posts already? I've been here longer than I thought.
Makes sense. It's true that light arrows and fire arrows are a bit redundant, but I had it in mind that light arrows would produce a lot more light than fire arrows. I'll note that in the OP.
Well, here goes. I do sincerely believe I fit the definition of "intelligent," and I generally don't annoy admins or players.
In-Game name: Pyro627
Position: Collector
Playing Since: A few months
Why I should be a Collector: I'm okay with monotonous work. I'm pretty good at mining, and I don't generally have any problems with self-defense. I'm very safe about mining; I'm good about checking where I'm going, making sure I don't fall into lava or a cave below me, etc.
Comments: I would greatly enjoy having some fun on this server, even if it just means a lot of digging. I enjoy building stylistic, yet functional mines and support facilities, but I'm cool if if you aren't okay with that.
What about a craftable quiver that contains arrows that can be worn instead of a shirt. That means that you have less armor when fighting with your bow.
I like it, although wearing iron armor without the shirt would look kinda funny.
And guys, I thought I asked you to shut up and stop arguing over physics. Though I do appreciate someone vehemently defending my point.
I do like the idea of improved arrows, and iron is a logical choice. :smile.gif:
My suggestion for updating Jukeboxes... is to let you put music files into a folder in the Minecraft directory, and have Jukeboxes play songs from that folder.
You can technically do that already, just name the sound files the same as the existing ones and put them in the relevant directory.
Water Pressure: Yes, BUT that description tells me that making glass windows two or more blocks thick either makes them indestructible to pressure or does nothing. I do not like this vagueness.
Underwater lighting: Craft torch surrounded by 8 glass blocks=compact waterproof lighting unit. Yay!
Alternatively, just put glass around your torches exposed to water, duh. Of course, there's the small matter of placing said torch once the spot is dry...
Heh, that never actually occcured to me. However, automatically detecting whether a glass block has another glass block behind it, and how that would interact with water blocks at different depths, etc. would be very difficult, as far as I know. I still think having to make reinforced or small windows would work just fine.
I might rewrite my description later. I do think it could be shorter and the concept simpler.
Edit: @Evrim would you be willing to make a thin divider image for the OP? The it's using currently is pretty ugly, but still neccesary for organization.

And a Normal sword would work as well as the machete, right?

Swing at animals.
Problem solved.
And those noises are actually "cave noises."

I do feel it would look better if they split just before touching solid objects, and flowed around them, so they won't be touching the mountain.

However, please don't call them Hippogryphs. The proper name would be Gryphon or Griffin.

Thank you for your support.
It's nice that someone bothered to reply.
