We'll make the fire training somewhere else, with glass around it so creepers can't spawn there (meaning we would place halfies around the trees)
Another idea:
I don't remember if any of you remember when I posted that sketch of the outpost, but I think we should build some of those around our city, and have guards stationed there for battle.
But there will be creepers and mobs in an actual fire.
Guys, if you don't like the idea of water pressure, explain why, don't just say "it's a horrible idea".
Psst, and gals
I did, but fine, let me repeat it for everyone - This is minecraft, being able to build impossible stuff is part of the fun. Having your underwater tunnel crack and collapse because it's too deep or something is not fun, and having to make reinforced glass blocks doesen't sound very fun either.
That doesn't mean it's not fun. It's a learning process, like the rest of minecraft; new players have to figure out for themselves that creepers explode when one of them blows up their house, which is basically the same thing. They won't know that mobs spawn at night, or that their torches will go out after a while. Disasters like your tunnel collapsing are fun because it provides a challenge; there's no fun in just building the tunnel if nothing interesting happens.
Edit: And Dvarvaro, yes, I do have precedents. I'm particularly interested in one at Gdansk; it's technically medieval, but the basic concept is the same as roman cranes.

You're wrong. They don't just spawn at random, they only spawn on floors and open spaces.
I mean, you don't find coal floating in midair or in dirt, right? Have you ever found a lake underground?

That's not music, its ambient noises. There are normal music tracks which should play at random; do you hear these?
The entire reason we build any of this stuff it because it looks pretty. Will anyone ever actually eat at Racer's cafe, or read a book in the builder's lounge?
I do agree that we shouldn't demolish the peak, though.

You seriously thought we didn't know about something as important as SMP health?

Because notch isn't going to completely ruin the game's balance because one person doesn't like diamond tools.
