Because the game USED to be good and fun. I can't bare to play it now because
1; Lighting bug
2; IT'S UGLY. Not the textures, the biomes! They're idiotic, and their placement is as ugly.
3; Because jeb puts in useless things like bats, and stupid unnecessary things that get in the way of normal gameplay. Like the new mob system. I don't want zombies to spawn more of themselves, it's idiotic. I also want them ALL to be able to burn in the sunlight.
You're right! They should kick Jeb out of office and revert all their hard work back to beta 1.8.1! /sarcasm. But yourself in Jeb's spot right now. The vast majority of people love the new feature, relatively few people don't really care, and a vast minority don't like it. Out of that minority, part of the people use common sense and doesn't update (Which you should do), part of them mod the game to their liking, and part of the remaining do not complain, whine, and rant about it and merely states their opinion, knowing that they can't do anything to change it. The remaining are like you, those who complain about features and expect Mojang to see your rant and change their game to YOUR liking, which will never happen.

I am trying to build a piston door, but I have ran into a very odd problem that I have never experienced before. Well, I will just let these screenshots show it.
See here how the piston acts normally, extending with the redstone torch.
However once I put a block in front of it, you know, so it can push it, this happens:
The piston will not extend. I placed the piston on a different block, to the left of the torch, and it works fine. But if I put it on that specific block, it stops working. All three of the other pistons on the door is working just fine. there is no other redstone in the within two blocks of it, and even when I did remove the other redstone, the problem persists.

Thank you for your help, I don't know how I did not find that page.

I can't find anywhere, not even the wiki, how bookshelves and levels correlate. All I get is that 15 is needed amount to make level 30 enchants. I assume that each bookshelf is two levels, but is that the case?

It would be in game rather than a mod. Seeing the number of mods, I'm sure at least one of them is hunger in peaceful. I don't use mods as well as thinking that it would be a good in game feature.

I was speaking figuratively when talking about "Its your job".

Snapshots are not mini-updates, they are more like beta updates that Mojang has opened to the public for bug testing and to let people get an idea what the update it. Really, if you look at most other games, they never do this and just make the update before releasing it.
They are bound to be bugs, and it is your job as the snapshot tester to find them and report them. Mojang is not going to iron out bugs before releasing every snapshot. Yes, they will fix bugs found in snapshots, but will not search for any themselves before releasing said snapshot.
New features are not necessarily "confirmed" until the update and can be drastically changed before then. Usually, they stay with a few tweaking, but sometimes completely changed or removed. Example: horse saddles.
Snapshots are, again, not mini updates and are just released whenever Mojang decide some bug finding or feature teasing in needed. So they might release littler or big ones any time, from a week or month later, maybe even more.
Snapshots are not a necessity and is completely optional to Mojang. Keep that in mind before you complain about snapshots.

I wouldn't mind a toggle, but I think it doesn't need one seeing how you only lose your ability to sprint.

Remember, this doesn't add any difficulty, only the feel of a challenge.

If it was completely made of it, it would look worse than just normal obsidian, at least to me it would.
