Pwaa, could we get a webpage or two about the project? It seems as though people are confused as to what actually needs to be done, what's already been done, and how it's going to be done. There's no real structure to the project, with everyone going off and making quarries randomly, digging out everything they can. Nobody knows for definite the amount of certain blocks we need (Shape of the track), the mining methods to be used, how the railway's going to be built (section by section, with portals in the nether every so often, or building after acquiring everything in one big go). We've also got no way other than chat to contact you, or anyone else for that matter, and this forum's a bit hard to track, especially when organising something of this magnitude. For example, we had acquired tons of cobble in that short time, but not nearly enough iron.
We really could do with a small site dedicated to a discussion about the mechanics, some progress charts, designs, current maps, etc. Without it, it's always going to be the disorganised mess that it currently is.
It would make it much easier when people need answers to questions, information, or need to contact someone about this. There's been plenty of times on the server where people have just went off and did their own thing, or did not know what to do (including myself).
I hope I'm not appearing forceful or demanding, I just want to give this project the best possible chance of succeeding, as it's been said this is impossible before, a number of times. Let's prove the doubters wrong, and get this project back on the rails!
I sooooooooooooo wanna be a part of this.
Add Caridor.
Also, I get the rules about making iron tools, since iron is a premium, but what about diamonds?
If we find some diamond, can we make a pick out of those, assuming we can mine them with an iron pick from you?
Also, whats happening with the strip mining rule?
You have been added, and yes, you can make diamond tools.
Is Minecraft combatible with Windows XP Ultimate Edition? I've never used it and it's on my girlfriend's computer, so I currently can't see it for myself. I'd just like to know if it's even combatible in the first place.
If it has java it can run it.... Most of the time. I would say yes though, one of my friends has Windows XP Ultimate Edition. (It runs fine)

Redstone torches are not too expensive, so we are not worried about that right now.
