Yes you could since I think some time in alpha, before enchantments were a thing.
Combine two of the same tool to make a single tool with the combined durability of both tools (plus a bit).
This was possible either on a bench or in your 2x2 grid until this update (last snapshot it worked).

This map is alot of fun.
I have a question about hydration.
Is there any better hydration other than water bottles?
I discovered lemongrass before the quest for lemongrass tea and tried making it to see if it was better for hydration. It didn't seem to be but I was wondering if there was information about lemongrass in the lemongrass quest. The quest was auto completed because I had previously made the tea and thus I never read the book.

I went to the nether to see if there was anything there - nothing. Going back through I ended up in a portal in the command block area.
How many attempts did it take for you to finish the map Rubisk? How many runs were successful/unsuccessful?

I have never found a slime in any of the swap biomes, even after filling in the water with dirt and waiting for the moon to cycle.
Has anyone else noticed this?

It creates it's own twisted physics and allows one to poke and prod, to try to understand.
A variety of solutions present themselves, sometimes they are unfruitful, sometimes they work! (These are both good things)
There is progression but this map is non-linear!
This is how puzzle maps should be.
After stumbling on what happened to be the last hurdle, wondering if I had broken the map, I watched parts of several different play throughs and to my frustration and delight discovered that everyone solved the map in different order.
I can only imagine the wonders that "The Code IV: A new hope" will bring what with the new commandblock options like clone.
