Is that why sony got hacked last year and all customer details wasnt even encrypted? :biggrin.gif:
He's talking more about client-side, you can't hack your PS3 to install cracked games. 360 isn't that hard to. Also, Sony did encrypt peoples credentials. Note that they migrated and upgraded their server centers after the attacks, too.
IMO PS3 would have a way bigger market, Total Miner has already consumed most of the 360's market for this game. Minecraft for the Wii U would be awesome, having inventory on the controller and such.

Built for the latest Minecraft 1.0.0

Welcome to Diggi.es and thank you for checking us out! Diggi.es is a new PvP Survival server running on 'Hard' mode. When you join the server, you will spawn in a protected area, and venture out into the wilderness. Anything can happen out in the wilderness, and you can do anything out there too. Hurry up and find a shelter before night falls!
#1
Don’t camp around the spawn – try to be at least 100 blocks away before attacking another player.
(You will be warned for this)
#2
Cheating or otherwise exploiting Minecraft will result in a ban.
This means no fly or speed hacks, X-Ray mods, etc. Minimaps are allowed.
#3
Don’t overuse TNT, Lava, or Fire.
This causes excessive server load and you may be banned if you persist on overusing after a warn.
#4
Keep the swearing to a minimum.
Children might be listening.
#5
Like always, do not spam.
#6
Admins always have the last say.
Etiquette
#1
Be enviro-friendly. Don’t damage the environment in major ways, keep it looking nice.
Replant trees, plant flowers while you’re frolicking around, etc.
#2
Even though griefing is allowed on Diggi.es don’t go overboard.
Don’t destroy somebody’s home just to be an ass.
A good rule of thumb is if you’re looking and haven’t found a chest within 5 minutes of looking around, replace the blocks you messed up and move on.
#3
Don’t leave stupid structures. This includes 1×1 towers and floating tree tops.
Use better, more subtle markers.
#4
Have a blast!

If you like this server and want to see it grow, donate.
Almost all donations will go to benefiting the server.

Thanks for the quick reply, a contact form is easily do-able, I have forums set up ready for use, I've already got an IRC channel setup on a trusty server (could probably integrate mibbit into the site), and I've thought about adding DynMap.
Yeah I figured giving out items and big advantages over other players (creative mode etc) would be a no. Being able to set your own warps, tping to other players without request, ability to lock chests outside of home, ability to set more than 1 or 2 homes, and that type of stuff might be good donator perks. Maybe even a private donator+ world too.

What are the generally 'essential' plugins to have for a larger server? We currently have Essentials and WorldEdit. Looking for a plug-in allowing to protect plots of land (spawn, user houses etc).
With proper advertising, how long does it take to get a sufficient userbase? How long did it take you?
When is it advised to upgrade the server to a VPS or Dedicated Box? Currently with 5 regular players the memory use averages 50-80%. (1.5gb, upgrading to 4 next month and possibly to a Kimsufi VPS in the future)
What should the website offer? I currently have mc.myserver.org pointing to the minecraft server with www. and forums. pointing to my VPS.
Is it okay/profitable to bribe donators with special ranks? Would it make other users mad if we sell off certain creative mode features on a survival server?
I know it's a lot of questions, but I just want to clear a few things up and get some advice before we undergo any big projects. :wink.gif: Thank you for your time.

Not really sure, they just introduced new things and then started with release candidates for 1.0.0. IMO they kind of rushed it, since they promised a version 1.0 to come out during Minecon.

I'm not hating, that's actually amazing for a 9-year old to do. I thought I made it pretty obvious that I was joking/trolling with the 'only seven years older' and ''.

No one is crying OR complaining. We are discussing NPCs in this thread.
Like has been stated previously, I would expect AI updates and perhaps ability to name towns you discover, bartering with the locals, etc in the future. Early next year maybe? I'm guessing in the next version they'll be tweaked.
