Hello! I am sending a message that I sent to the mod author of SecretRoomMod.
It is about how I love waila, but it also gives away the secret objects sometime such as one-way Glass. But if it is a secret lever, it mimics an entire block and waila shows it as the block it is mimicking instead of a secret lever (not a bug very good for hiding a lever)
All Im wondering about is the items like trapdoors, torches, anything that isn't a full block. Is there a way to have it tell you what lock it is getting its texture from instead?
Here is what I posted on his page:
--(first comment not relevant)--
I also noticed that when using waila almost all of the blocks say they are the block it is ghosting except for the one-way glass, secret trapdoor, torch, etc. basically any one that doesn't mimic a full block, shows the actual secret name. Kinda makes it a bit less secret. Il mention it to ProfMobius too.
-----------------------
Ah he says hes going to work on it. maybe it won't require anything.

It kind of annoys me I'd like either a way to recover those aspects or possibly a bit of an out there idea, a Cloth Golem who's only job is to run around and mop up the mess you make (it'd be nice if he had an increased reach to get the ceiling messes as well).
This *clearly* needs a custom golem, whose appearance is that of a magical animated broom. Otherwise how can the thaumaturgists apprentice clean up their inadvertent mess. -

That is a great idea. Personally I'd just be happy with previous focus key and the ability to change the order the foci are switched to. That way lesser used foci can be placed farther down the line while making the more commonly used ones easier to switch to.
So many times I've passed the focus I wanted and had to spam the F key to get the one I wanted. I hate it so much when it happens twice or more.
Oh! Better idea: Holding F will convert the standard hotbar into a focus hotbar so you could for example switch to your excavation focus by pressing F (or whatever your focus key is bound to) + 3. -

I'd love to have a grate over my Crucible here, but uh, well... I'm sure you can see the problem with that.. -

I have been trying out different combos of swords, and could not figure out how to use the charge ability. Could anyone explain it?
The Longsword is the one with the charging ability. When you want to charge, just hold down right click, like pulling back a bow string and when you release, it lunges you forward. It works really well if you lunge then hit left click real fast. This causes tremendous damage to all enemies. Happy hunting.
I prefer to use my Scythe (See image on left) LOL
You think it's great now, just wait til the armor comes out. EPIC STUFF! -

UnholyD posted a message on Equivalent Exchange 3 - 0.1.142I've been patient. I've been silent on every little thing I've had complaints over. I've read the tread. I've seen how everyone else is reacting to the "overpowered" "issues". I'm not being quiet or patient anymore.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
First off: Overpowered is a relative term. Equivalent Exchange was fun because you could leave the Vanilla way of doing things far, FAR behind and do some really cool things like part an ocean, walk on lava, control the weather, or gather resources with a flick of the wrist. Some say being able to instantly grow Trees with Bonemeal was OP. Some say Trading with Villagers with massive amounts of their own Wheat is OP. And still others like to throw that word around when talking about Mods. EE is OP. Either use it, or don't. Just don't complain about it being what it is.
Second: How do you establish what something is worth on the EMC scale when you don't have all the information to work with? If I were to run a Server and started my own economy using lets say Emeralds as the form of money, since they're only real use is in trading, how would I establish what is worth what? Some people use lots of Redstone in their contraptions and like Slime Balls for Sticky Pistons. Some people only care about hoarding Diamonds. And still others want Golden Apples. To one, Slime Balls and Redstone are worth their weight in Diamonds and Gold. To the others, they might not give two s about anything they can't use for armor, weapons, or "magical" properties. Kinda hard to balance that, right? Now let's assume I've added Buildcraft and Forestry to my Server. This throws many of what is considered to be valuable or not right out the window. Wood is exceptionally plentiful and mining becomes something as simple as popping a Quarry down. How much is Gold and Redstone then? Let's say I've added a mod that increases the yield of ores by either Macerating or Pulverizing them. Gold and Iron become twice as plentiful but does that necessarily mean they become half as valuable? No, it doesn't. What gives it value is the relativistic representation of value placed upon it by those who encounter it. Food is plentiful and grows non-stop so does it have much value? To the guy who just died and lost all his carried food in a mine, it has a lot. To the guy growing the wheat to make the Bread, not nearly as much. EMC in EE2 was a standardized unit of measure based around Vanilla Minecraft first and Mods second. All this talk of Dynamic EMC Values is ludicrous. I like to use Cobblestone when making just about all of my buildings, especially in the nether, because of how plentiful it is and how resistant to explosions it is. I'd trade a load of Gold and Redstone I'd have lying around for some Cobblestone if anyone was willing to make that trade. And I did with EE2's Condenser. I'd have loads of Gold just lying around, not doing me a lick of good and so I'd make some Cobble and build a castle with it. And if you look at the recipes in other Mods, you'll see that almost all of them require Wood and Stone in some way, shape, or form. Does that make Wood and Cobblestone worth more? Let's assume I Pulverize some Ore or Sawmill some Wood. Does that mean that Planks and Ingots values go down? So far down that Wood is worth less than Stone? Does that mean that Gold becomes less valuable than Redstone or even Lapis? If so, I'm going to have to say I'm passing on EE3 simply because nothing has any real value if I'm using a few Mods or playing with a Modpack installed, at least, nothing in Vanilla Minecraft anyway.
Third, and probably last: How long are we going to have to wait to see ANYTHING added to this Mod? It's been since around October and roughly Minecraft 1.2.x since EE3 went into development, practically 8 months, and all we've seen is the Minium Stone. I'll admit, Modmaking isn't the easiest thing to do. And again I'll admit that up until recently Mojang hasn't been the most forthcoming with making that process any easier. And once more I'll admit that the Dynamic EMC concept is more than likely a HUGE undertaking. But I'll also admit to this much, 8 months and equivalently nothing added to the Mod, at least as far as the publicly released builds go. No inter-Mod compatability (aka Transmuting of items from other Mods like Copper, Tin, and Silver), no implementation of the new Vanilla items, no added items within the Mod itself, no clear distinction that the Mod's even BEING developed. Just saying, a Minium Stone does not an Equivalent Exchange make. In short, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I feel like a lot of time has been wasted and the overall community is getting tired of waiting for nothing. At the very least, I know I have.
I'm just going to say this now, I'm sick of waiting for nothing to happen. I'm sick of hearing how OP EE is normally and how so many steps are being taken to "Balance" it in a game where balance is the least of your worries. Some people use NEI or even just switch to Creative Mode if they plan on doing things. How's that any different than using a massive Energy Collector System with a Condenser to get "Free Stuff"? It's not. And I'm sick of hearing about the Dynamic EMC that will more than likely NEVER be finished due to so many different things that change in Mods or even Vanilla from month to month.
To the Modmakers themselves, I say this: People play their way, things get updated frequently, and there are so many new Mods coming out every day or old Mods that slowly wither and die off. Keep it Simple. Get the bulk of the Mod finished. Get Redwater or Dusts or whatever it is you plan on using for the mod be it the EMC pipes or some way to "liquidate" items into raw EMC and worry about the "Hard Part" that will take the most time and effort until after you've something to show that says, "Hey! We're here. We made this really cool Mod full of all this awesome stuff. Would you like to check it out?" Is that too much to ask? Otherwise, how many more months/years are we going to have to wait, before you have ANYTHING to show for your efforts. Give us that much at least.
Signed one fan of many,

Serioulsy if all you care to post about is asking for them, something does tell me you're around 12-15 yrs old and just want to abuse the system like it was done in another modpack in a previous edition of MC. I hope for the return of condensers too but it should be well balanced and should require a complex infrastructure to make it work, and use energy of some kind so it wouldn't be OP like it was in EE2
Did you use IC2's solar power? Wind power? Water power? I'm sure there are other mods with similar feature... 'free energy' is only 'free' because we don't have the declining resources that exist in the real world. Solar and wind, for example, will eventually run out (solar when the sun goes away in 5 billion years-sure, plenty of time, but still, it also requires direct access to sunlight so it doesn't work when it is cloudy or if anything is above it; wind takes up a massive amount of space and requires direct air flow, and, well, wind... Water power <a.k.a. hydroelectricity> blocks up rivers and requires a continuous source of water). In minecraft we don't have the limitations that exist in the real world so any source of 'renewable energy' other than charcoal is overpowered...
The result? Exactly your argument, or abuse of the system. How to fix? There is no way to fix this without implementing a metric ton of useless features (useless because they'd be mostly for balancing renewable energy) or adding artificial and horribly contrived 'balancing' methods. Personally, I don't think anyone will ever be satisfied with the way things are implemented in Minecraft.
Take ore grinders or Forestry's wood cutting machine. These give additional resources and because of this people are whining that it unbalances EMC... but, the idea behind these is that the way the player gets these resources initially are inefficient and that these machines add efficiency that the player does not have. Splitting a log into planks with your bare hands is vastly less efficient than using an ax or saw, and that is typically less efficient than using an electric saw. Thus, using these machines give additional resources because they reduce the waist that would otherwise be produced.
Perhaps... planks that are gotten via the crafting table or inventory crafting should have more EMC than the planks gotten otherwise... to make up for the waist that is produced when trying to split logs by hand vs using machines and/or tools? I cannot speak for ore grinders (I haven't the slightest if they exist IRL in any realistic form), but I know that there are better and worse ways to process ore into metals, some produce more waist than others...
Basically, Minecraft doesn't account for waist... and EMC calculations ignore this component as well... Account for waist and it will be more realistic and less over/under-powered.
(Final example: the very fact that dropped items disappear after a short period of time--especially blocks--exemplifies what I am talking about. The fact that tools break without a trace exemplifies what I am talking about. Tools ware down, absolutely, but when they break there is 'something' that remains. They don't just disappear into the void... like in Minecraft.) -
