Is anyone gonna ever make that texture pack to go with thaumcraft? Because my pack doesn't fit with the textures of mods like IC2, Ars Magica, and Thaumcraft.
mDiyo, something I'd love to see would be to have excavators and hammers place a 3x3 of whatever block it is right clicked on, provided you have the materials, instead of placing a torch or block. Would this be possible? If not, thank you for your time!
Sorry if there is a separate thread for suggestions, couldn't find one, please notify me if there is. I had an idea that I really think would be useful and could help in things such as setting up arcane bores with essentia nearby to speed it up. I would like to see a liquid magic mirror that, when placed on the side of a jar filled with essentia, would check for a linked mirror similar to the item mirror already in thaumcraft and if there is one attached to an empty jar or jar of the same type of liquid essentia, would drain the jar into the other jar. For example, I could have a lux making system at my base and be sending it over to my bore through liquid magic mirrors. If you don't like the idea, I do not mind being told so, however I think a lot of people would enjoy that addition.
The Paving Stone of Warding has an invisible barrier that is one block tall. It is essentially the same as having a fence placed on top of it. Spiders can climb over fences, and mobs that jump have the ability to jump over them as well. That's the reason for the request. Extending the range by another block would be the same as having two fences placed on top of each other, which would keep out spiders and jumping mobs - as long as the doorway is only two blocks high.
But fences are 1.5 blocks tall... Anyways, a good idea would be to have them stack like levitators do so if its 3 down in the ground it would have a 3-6 tall barrier. I say 3-6 because I am confused of the height.
Your point? The suggestion was to increase the upward range of the Paving Stones of Warding so it would be more effective against mobs that can climb or jump over the one-block barrier it currently provides. A 1.5 high block would do just as well, sure, but of course the player can't walk through solid blocks like they can walk over the Paving Stones, which I'm sure was the entire point of the suggestion to begin with.
I don't know it's height for sure as it isn't written down, but if it's barrier was one high it wouldn't do anything as anything could jump over it!
That's not entirely true. If the entrance where the Paving Stones of Warding are placed is only two blocks high, then it would effectively keep spiders and anything else capable of getting over the barrier out.
The Warding Stone however has an invisible, intangible barrier, not an actual block. Think Arcane Levitator, but just a straight up blocking wall rather than a lifting breeze. Speaking of the Levitator, I still feel that there should be some variation which could push and pull mobs/items. Maybe specifically two different block types, the Arcane Repulsor and the Arcane Attractor, perhaps by using Perdito/Ordo shards, and if the two paths intersect then the shifting speed/strength is increased.
I know, what does that have to do with anything? Spiders can still climb it as it is a solid block to THEM.
One thing i would love to have changed is making warded stone affect 2 blocks high,. I noticed jumping mobs can get over them, for example spiders, and it can be very annoying.
Spiders climb walls, and as such, a 2 high block would not do anything.
Apologies. It seems you responded to TPB's post asking Luther27 about whether or not he was using Thaumic Tinkerer, which led to both him and myself responding to you as though you were experiencing the problem Luther27 presented.
I've put together an initial bare-bones outline for armor abilities that may make more sense to me than other people. Still... feel free to suggest anything that's not on here.
It means exactly what it says. Destroy the table, then place the two Arcane Tables back down, and use Scribing Tools to turn it into the research table.
What does that have to do with my bug? I can't even play!

Thanks mDiyo! Maybe have shift left clicking just do a normal placing of a block/torch?

But so would a 1.5 high block.
