Apr 23, 2014PurpleMushroomz posted a message on Can we please get news about the Xbox One version? My issue is that the money saved for Minecraft : Xbox One may not be available much longer. I still have my 360 version, but it's pointless for me to even bother when I'll completely lose interest if the One version comes out.Posted in: MCX360: Recent & Upcoming Updates

It's 4Jstudios choice
Actually, isn't it Mojang who decides on what pace the consoles can be ported over? From what I read, it sounds like Mojang has the final say on whether it's ready to go or not.
Mar 17, 2014That is an ender chest in the top pic, right?Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
Feb 13, 2014Well if Minecraft :X1E has a release date of March, then this title update most likely has a month before being submitted for cert testing... that's if this version of Minecraft is what is to be released on X1.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion

Sorry to hear that. I suspect, like the MassEffect pack, that it works best if you build with it in mind. That block repurposing problem again, where the blocks you might use in the original texture to make a nice house have completely different meanings. So all existing stuff probably does look "off"
Plus, they really should have followed the theme of the natural texture pack, instead of 16 bit.
I'll try the demo before I buy.
I built a village using primarily sandstone and cobblestone, as well as basic wood. It just looks like crap. Truly horrible. It doesn't even have to do with textures not matching it's purpose... that's usually wool anyways.
Just extremely disappointing.Quote from Mustache_Guy
I'd buy it but I no longer own an Xbox 360 or Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition. If they do decide to come out with the Skyrim Mash Up Pack on the Xbox One Edition though, I'll get it then. However I doubt that is going to happen.
Unless they have some higher resolution texture packs, I'd pass on a Skyrim Mashup on the One.
Nov 20, 2013Purchased this without going with the trial. Should've saved my $. To be honest, after going with the Natural Pack... this just looks like crap. My old world really looks 100x worse. Don't think I can go back to 16 bit texture pack again.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion

Microsoft custom built a lot of their hardware.Quote from killenjoke
this actually concerns me, the one is similar in hardware, so i hope this is not foreshadowing for the new xbox.

No you won't. They must have the One to play witth them. Perhaps migrate your friends over individually as they purchase a One, then that I would agree with. Having all friends automatically ported over despite whether they have a One or not... pointless.Quote from Mustache_GuyJust download your gamertag onto the Xbox One and you'll instantly be able to start playing with your friends.

Microsoft said friends and achievements will carry over to Xbox One.
Achievements, probably. I don't see how or why Friends would carry over. We can't game with them. I was told that the 360 will not be getting the Friend list boost to 1000, so there really is no incentive to carry them over. We also can't party up with them, so again... no real point in carrying them over other than to send them a text message.

The LIVE service for the Xbox One is different than for the 360. Your friend list will most likely not transfer over to One. You will not be able to Party with friends still on 360. The Cloud is accessible from Xbox One. Don't know how we're supposed to get map files from our hard drives to the cloud, when they're most likely 2 separate networks, essentially.Quote from COL0NELxSanders
Right, yeah I know that. But I wonder if MCX1 will utilize the newer cloud services. Would be nice to be able to have it tied to your GT so you can do things in either console. It's a stretch, but would be cool.
The only way I can see it working is if 4J does something similar to what Bungie did for Halo 3. Let us upload maps to a fileshare server and then redownload them onto a new system. That will, of course, require the One version of Minecraft to have an option to get files from that server.

Why are you waiting? It is released already. What do you need a thread title change for?
I already have the pack from day one. I use this thread to find out if any new info is released and changes in the thread title alert me to something new. The Halloween pack tweet was almost a week old already.

Sorry about the delay, I guess I'm not the only one who hasn't been around. Sorry about that.

I'm still waiting for the title of this thread to be updated to include this...

The Xbox One and PS4 both more than meet the minimum requirement specs for the PC version. That should tell you everything that you need to know.Quote from xGODSIDEx
makes me wonder how the xbox one will handle minecraft, with its improved ram and all.

... and that's the main reason why I can't see why they wouldn't release it again. There is no time frame or limited edition if it's for a good cause.
