I load up a new world. Chop a few trees. Gather wood. I decide to make a house on a beach. Then While digging downward I find iron. This is not insolated incedent. While digging up aside of a mountain looking for coal. I found iron again. This is all before I found one piece of coal.
I think iron ore is a little too abundant. I think it should be less abundant toward the surface because it is way too abundant.
I wasn't going to log on today. But guess what? I did, just to comment on this. This is a terrible idea, no offence or anything. It's just that 8 stacks is a lot. You don't have to dig up dirt, sand, and gravel! Sand is useful but you don't need 8 stacks of 64 of it.
No.
OMG! You hate all my ideas! STOP POSTING, READ THE MESSAGE CAREFULLY, I know you don't need 8 stacks of any of this stuff, that's the whole point of this! This way, your inventory doesn't get clogged up with junk, and you can use it to hold more valuable stuff.
...All your ideas suck. /Sarcasm
I don't hate all your ideas. Just throw them out it's not like it's hard.
This is a cool idea. Also i have a suggestion. If you put the lunchbox/satchel in your hotbar, if you right click on it while it has food in it, you could eat the food quickly... it saves room, and helps you if you're in a pinch. :biggrin.gif:
Wouldn't that just be stackable food?
What if you have different kinds of food in the box?

My first thought upon seeing this was "Oh that is kind of cool." Then I scrolled down. You are using 28 squares on the .png file for different colors of the same item! No! I do not support this. What will you want next? 8 different colored beds? Or perhaps you want to change the color of your door. No. Unless a better system is implemented to change the color of the texture without using so much textures I will not support this.
Here is my suggestion. For each item that can be colored it has a base texture of the color, on top of that texture is the actual texture of the item that has transparencies to allow the color to show through. The same method Blizzard uses to show team color in their games. One texture with transparencies in the right spots, and it simply colors the textures the model in two layers. The color texture is one pixel and does not take much toll on the computer to render.
What is wrong with using a lot of textures? Hmm? Hmmmmm? Nothing! Notch can always add more room.
Actually I really don't see him using all the space it shows.
