posted a message on My vanilla discoball
So here's an EXTREMELY simple and small invention I made, it took me about 5 minutes but I thought I wanted to share it with you guys. It is a discoball I made in minecraft using a clock of command blocks each hooked up with the /setblock command and each command block sets the "discoball" to a different color of stained glass.

    My video of it:

Tell me what you guys think!

Also I am really laggy in this video because I was running something in the background, sorry!

    1. Crafting items in creative mode?... What?

    2. Smelting items in creative mode?... Also what.

    3. You can already duplicate an item in your inventory, using your "Select Block" key (usually the scroll wheel by default) you can click down on it while looking at a block to duplicate that block into your inventory, it also functions like this for items. Let's say you had an elaborate, well written book in your inventory, just put your mouse over the item and click down on the scroller wheel, it will duplicate the book word for word, same goes for enchanted items and what not.

    4. Enchanting and Renaming are already super easy in creative, get an anvil, get the item, get the enchanting books, BAM! Item customization station, having a seperate tab is just a lazy player's short cut to avoiding a couple extra clicks of a button. (Also, you can get EVERY level of each enchantments by going into the search tab and typing in the enchantment name, it will display all the books for all the levels of that enchantment for those who don't know)

Sorry, I just don't like this idea. No support.

posted a message on Recource Pack Creator in Game
    1. Like Deonyi said, there would be so many inexperienced players waiting to get their hands on this and making horrible, low quality packs than spread their lack of artistry to the whole internet by posting it on the forums, planet minecraft, etc.

    2. If copying the necessary files to a seperate folder and downloading Paint.net or Gimp is too hard for the person to do, they probably should not be editing how the game looks.

posted a message on Things that other people do on Minecraft that drive you nuts.
    - When people use the wrong tool (as many others have said) although if they're in a rushed situation, let's say.. an intense PvP fight than I don't mind

    - When people DON'T EAT FOOD

    - When an item drops and they don't pick it up

    - When they are doing something that is extremely boring and provides neither good commentary nor any actual good video content and they don't even do any cuts, fast forwards, or anything.

posted a message on The perfect vanilla server!
As long as it has very minimal and basic plugins that are only there to protect the actual gameplay experience, such as protection, plugins to better prevent hackers, etc. Than I'm fine with it, I might as well call it Vanilla.

posted a message on More Uses for Gold and Obsidian!
I have heard many suggestions fairly similar to this, and also

Despite gold and obisdian not having many uses, I think their few uses are still good ones. Where would we be without golden apples to fill our health in near death situations? Or to make golden carrots to make night vision potions, or more importantly, invisibility potions to troll your friends? :P Plus, following the whole trolling your friends thing, you can use obsidian to block up your friends chests XD

Anyways, serious talk now. Coal doesnt have many uses, it just makes torches and burns up in furnaces, and makes a somewhat ugly decoration block but you don't see people making new suggestions for it, neither does lava have much use unless you're a griefer.. or a troll. And Lapis Lazuli? Dude, that stuff is practically useless... My point is, there's lots of things in minecraft that could use a sprinkle of creativity here and there, but mojang doesn't do it.

posted a message on Minecraft Vs Terraria (Facts)
    I play both games

Terraria is more about exploring, adventure, pushing you and your world to the limit

Minecraft is sandbox, survival, exploration, mining, etc.

Both of them are excellent games.. 'nuff said

posted a message on Fix the hitboxes
Now as some of you may or may not know, minecraft has this cool little function where if you hit B + F3 than it will enable hit boxes, or atleast that's what I like to call it. And basically, it just shows the hit box for all the entities like mobs, dropped items, arrows, players, etc. If you have discovered this feature, than you have most likely also discovered that if you look at yourself your hitbox is NOT infact surrounding your player, but floating above it. I know this is just some kind of glitch and your hitbox is NOT actually above your head, but it would just be a nice little update if mojang fixed it to be in it's correct location. If you have NO idea at all whatsoever as to what I'm talking about, here's a picture:

As you can see, the hitboxes are all in the right place, except for MY hitbox which is hovering above me.

posted a message on Things I hate about youtubers
Now when I say youtubers, it mainly applies to minecrafters and and gamers, however I guess it COULD possibly spread to youtubers in general. (Also I put this in off topic, the only place I'm certain I won't get an infraction for mentioning youtube, as I have been bashed very harshly with long lasting infractions for being 'Off topic' in the god dang DISCUSSION section of the forums)

    1. Horrible recording techniques.
Now I am fairly certain that all of you have at least ONCE, witnessed a youtube video in which an inexperienced youtuber took a camcorder, or worse, one of those fuzzy, blurry, glaring, low quality iphone cameras and simply just pointed it at their TV/Monitor and hit the record button, it - is - painful - to - watch. If you are one of those youtubers out there, well shame on you! Just get some recording software like Bandicam, Fraps, Dxtory, etc. if you're on the PC, if you're recording xbox, or PS3, well than, get a capture card, if you can't/have a strong driving impulse to simply NOT buy one, than just.. just don't even... Simply put, you're not gonna get anywhere.

    2. Giveaways
Now, this one applies more to the bigger youtubers out there, now I understand, I don't mind if a youtuber does maybe a giveaway for a special occasion/holiday or just maybe every once in a while, but those who just do it on a constant regular basis... oh man.. *COUGH* FIREROCKERZSTUDIOS *COUGH* Well, 'nuff said on this subject.. moving on.

    3. Fakers
Whenever I go looking at videos NOT produced by big shots, than they're usually just these people who try to act like skydoesminecraft and still hope that everyone assumes it's their own, natural personality. Once I stumbled upon this small gaming channel (At least they had the decency to get a proper screen capture software :P) and I kid you not, he was trying to imitate sky, EXACTLY. Screaming "AH AHHH AHH EHHH AHH EEE AAHHH AAHH DONT TOUCH ME, IM UNTAMABLE, DONT YOU LAND A FINGER ON ME AHH EEEE AAHHH AA EEEEEE AA HALP HAALLP HAALP MEEE HAALLLPPP HAALP HAAAAALLP AAHH EE" infact, he was even trying to imitate sky's voice.

    4. False tags
There have been a couple videos where there are tags that have absolutely NOTHING to do with the actual media content in the video, for example, a person who was pretending to be sky recording minecraft on the xbox 360 with his iphone, let's say he was simply doing a Let's Play survival series.. but in the description he puts things like "Brand new minecraft 1.8 update" and "Minecraft xray mod, free download" and you just see a giant list of completely irrelevant tags making up about 90% of their description.

Well, that just about sums up my list, and feel free to add on anything that really ticks you off when you enter the world of youtube.

posted a message on Clueless mom needs help to set up game for kids for xmas help is greatly appreciated
    Quote from Sketch

Ok, calm down, the Sketch man has got ya.

    a) Mods are direct modifications to the game, such as adding new stuff, or changing the code. If they wan't to play the newest version with mods they must wait, as Minecraft Forge, the people that make the mod compatibility for mods, have not updated Forge to 1.7.2. You can always find a tutorial on this forum or on youtube on how to mod your minecraft.
    B) Minimaps could mean two things: They could be talking about a mod or they could be talking about a Pre-Made minecraft map. The mod basically allows you to have a little map of the world in the top right hand corner of your screen. Pre made minecraft maps are worlds, or "maps" that people make themselves and distribute. They can be challenges, minigames, horror games, or anything. These can be installed without mods, so google it.
    c) Servers are multiplayer environments where people play together in survival mode, creative mode, or minigames. No personal information is revealed, and the only contact with strangers you have is a text chat bar. To connect to these servers, you click "Multiplayer", then "Add Server", Then you enter the IP, the unique identifier for the server. Then you can connect to it any time.

Thats all I know. Try to ask your kids to get a little more of an understanding about it.

Also just adding on some things here, if you let them go on multiplayer I suggest you look up a server FOR them, just google something like "Family friendly minecraft server" or something along the sorts of that, as most multiplayer communities will contain rude, insensitive, and vulgar players that you might not want your children to be playing with.

Also about the mods, once new updates come, the mods are usually outdated, which means the modifications are made specifically for one version of the game, however the game is on a different version so it will not work and most likely result in a crash.

posted a message on Top 10 reasons servers fail.
Also just wanna say, don't always bash on people simply because of their age, just because a couple of children in every community acts like total d-bags, swears, brag about how engorged their genitals are, yells how many times they've had intercourse with your mom, talks about smoking weed, does not mean EVERY 12 year old is like that, they are simply the ones who receive the most attention from society because of their pompous behavior, and because those 12 year olds receive the most attention from people, everyone thinks those are the ONLY 12 year olds out there.

I could not agree with this more! :D

Whenever I go on a server that sucks I should just start shoving the link to this topic into the owners face.
