Also, I think that 1 iron ingot per cannon shot is a bit much. Instead, I think making a crafting recipe for cannonballs would be better than using an entire ingot for one shot.

 = 8 cannonballs
I think a 2 cannon shots per iron ingot would be a good ratio.
Oct 31, 2010I would also like to get on the whitelist. I was on the server prior to its closing to the public. While I understand that you won't just accept any random newbie, this server is the only server I'm openly willing to go to, and I really want to help rebuild this place.Posted in: Alpha - SMP Servers

Oct 24, 2010I am also very interested in joining the server, but I haven't purchased the game yet (although I plan to do so tomorrow). Can I still be put on the whitelist even though I haven't purchased the game yet?Posted in: Alpha - SMP Servers

Also, I think that there should be a screenshot taking up part of the screen in step #2. The screenshot would relate to the discreet quote. For example, a screenshot of a player with a creeper right behind him for the "The last thing I hears was SSSSssss." quote.
Oct 23, 2010I think that there can be a bigger boat.Posted in: Suggestions
It would be called a longboat, and it would be created by putting 3 boats together horizontally.
It's crafting template would look like this
(Where = Boat)

Appearance wise, it would look like a elongated boat with 3 seats and a helm in front. The person in the front seat can pilot the boat. It wouldn't accelerate as fast as the regular boat but it will eventually reach the same top speed as the regular boat. The longboat would turn at a medium-slow rate and the center of the longboat would serve as the axis of rotation. I think that this boat can be implemented with the current system, but I could be wrong. If I am, do say so.

I think that if a scaffold block has no solid block on top of it, the top dimension should have a solid top and the sides of the scaffolding should be edited in recognition of the solid top. It would kind of be like how the texture of a dirt block changes when grass grows on it.
Oct 23, 2010Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from AndrewHightower »Maybe the simplest solution is to change the interaction with the powered mine cart so it goes towards you when you activate it, since in most of the cases you will be in a mine cart in front of it waiting to be pushed, or if you want to send a train without you, you could simply be beside it and do the same.
I would prefer the lever idea, so I can easily choose whether to go in one direction or the other without having to move.
Quote from AndrewHightower »Also a second click (without fuel) should make it stop, so you can have an intermediate stop without having to destroy the powered mine cart to stop, which is annoying because you have to craft it again to continue (since destroying a powered mine cart gives you a furnace and a mine cart).
I believe that the OP stated that you can turn the powered minecart off by clicking the furnace. But this statement makes me think of a minecart that can cause the train to stop almost instantly. By not breaking almost instantly, it would a sense of realism to breaking.
Quote from AndrewHightower »For multiple powered mine carts, when coupled you only need to interact with one to interact with all of them, so when you're on your mine cart ready to go, you click on the powered mine cart that's next to you, but it activates all that are coupled, so if there are 5, when you activate the one next to you, it uses 5 coal, 1 for each, without having to activate each individually.
This was suggested earlier in the thread, but it should still be added to the OP nonetheless.
Oct 23, 2010I have a question that I didn't state in the post I made before.Posted in: Suggestions
1. If you flip a lever while your minecart train is moving, would the train start moving in the other direction instantly or would it slow down and then start accelerating in the opposite?
Also, I have 2 amendments to your original suggestion.
1. Instead of changing the formula of the powered minecart, I think keeping the current powered minecart and adding your powered minecart (w/ Lever). Using the current formula for the powered minecart will make a powered minecart as is (w/o Lever) and your suggested formula would make a powered minecart (w/ Lever). With two types of powered minecarts, you can now have extra power added to your train without making said train look weird. You can also put powered minecarts near passenger areas and not worry about a passenger accidentally (or intentionally) changing the direction of the train.
2. The suggested formula for couplings should make 5 couplings.
Quote from nalp777 »i think its all good sugestions exept the 3. one.
I think we should use rope for this.
Couplings should be able to be made out of both iron and rope, with the only difference being the flammability of the couplings.
