I ran your texture pack through my Biome Hotel and it was a fun experience. I can see a lot of work has been put into this, and its really coming together. I am very excited for future updates. I have featured your texture pack in a video, looking at all the blocks in the game, if you would like to use it to promote your pack in any way, you are free to do so.

posted a message on What Minecraft has evolved into

I find it very difficult to play anything BUT Vanilla Minecraft. I don't pvp, I don't use mod packs, and I even have difficulties using texture packs. The way Minecraft was intended is how I enjoy the game. Everyone enjoys the game for different reasons, though, and they have the option to play on specialized servers, unchanged/modded servers or solo.

For what we get in a single time purchase of Minecraft - free endless patches (expansions really), I think Mojang has done a great job bringing in revenue while still producing free content. Unfortunately, the trade off for that is creating a larger player base through appealing to all sorts of players. Pvp across all genres is, and always will be popular.

With that said, I think there has been an equal amount of time spent between satisfying the vanilla/builder players, and creating a larger player base. When content is released, each get great improvements and additions to the game.

posted a message on Challenge: live in one chunk!

This sounds like it could be very difficult to gain supplies. If the person is not supplied with at least one sapling and a bucket each of lava and water, longevity of the challenge may be short. The random seed creates an unreliable outcome.

Unfortunately, people just get a kick out of causing issues for others. There isn't much reasoning behind it but amusement for the abuser. Best way to avoid it, is to avoid situations where people do it the most.
