    That's the entire log. It doesn't matter what mods are in the mods folder, it still doesn't launch. We've tried changing Java versions as well, no luck. I recreated his setup in the curse launcher with the same Java and mods and I successfully launch.


    Fixed. For those who end up in the same boat as my friend in the future, this occurs when forge-1.9.4-12.17.0.19.0.1987.jar (or whatever forge version you are using) is either not fully downloaded or corrupt. The fix is to delete the file and let the launcher download it again.

    How I found one was flying over the ocean at night with my Rotarycraft jetpack. I did have have check a large area.

    Oh, I noticed that I never did the right tab goal of finding an ocean temple. Is there a good method of locating one? I've searched plenty of ocean since v5b, and they're not visible from the surface for me.

    Polymorph, you probably already have the blueprint fragments you just need to resize the ui in options (havent played v5 yet so he may have fixed this but not sure) if that still doesnt work you need to progress in the mod some more (explore).


    Saereth & dizchord23, I suspect the main reason it does not allow autoplacement is due to this being the easiest way for him to implement some form automation using ONLY rotarycraft and vanilla.

    I'm trying to figure out what I need to get the casting temple and item casting stand fragment. I've leveled up the table to 3, and I don't see any of the goals in the right tab that I can do without having the casting temple already built.

    Try turning off incremental saving—save-off. I have a similar problem with the Nether, and though I haven't narrowed it down to a single mod yet, there seems to be some kind of loop where it's continuously saving/reloading some of the chunks. It's not any of Reika's though, at least not for me; still happens with none of his mods installed.
    If that works, you can throw a save-all at the server every couple of minutes. Careful, though; with save-off, stop will not make any attempt to save anything.

    Possibly related is that each chunk that the crystal.pylons are in never unload once loaded. Same with the actual crystal pylons, though they actually load chunks without the player having to go to them. That's so they can do the repeater network properly, right?

    So, I've been doing some profiling on my server using opis and found an interesting thing. I have an RFTools dimension for easier resource gathering (flat plains, noon, villages, iron golem spawns etc), and your underground structures are spawning, at least the ones that crack when you step into it, not sure about the one that locks you in. For whatever reason, whenever I'm NOT in that dimension, each crystal.pylon that has ever been loaded in that dimension in between server restarts takes 2-3 milliseconds to update. As soon as I step into the dimension myself, the only one that I've seen in opis' chart took 2 microseconds, most of the tests I do they don't show up at all they update so fast. Thought I'd bring this to your attention. There are 5 crystal.pylons within range of the entry point of the dimension alone, so they're pretty common.

    Edit: Just as a point of reference, the ticks where the issue isn't happening take only 1 millisecond for everything put together, including 2 bases.

    Something I've come across in v4c is that you can't uncraft undamaged lubricated gearboxes, and there's no way to my knowledge to pump lubricant out so that I can.

    True, though personally I'd rather craft something I'd end up using more later than saving resources now to make something I'd only use for a bit.

    Edit: Actually, looking it up in 4c shows that even if the shaft junction recipe only gave you 1, it's about the same cost if not cheaper. Right. also have to hook up engines to them to get use out of them, adding to the cost. I'm a bit slow tonight.

    I like the grinder changes for the most part, it gives the worm gear a use (Edit: temporarily forgot about shaft junctions, so disregard) until you have the ethanol to power it straight. That recipe using sugarcane looks rather tantalizing. Also not getting a stack of sludge using just a yeast and a silverwood leaf is much more balanced for the better (guilty as hell for abusing it while it lasted though).

    I just found one of those shielding cloak places underground for the first time, and I have to say what I saw inside of it was the most beautiful thing I have seen in Minecraft. I was actually kinda sad that I had to destroy it to leave. I would love to have those particular particle effects in my base, even if it required absolute endgame materials.

    Ah, so it's like a machine that gives a localized version of a dimensions background effects? If so, do they use dimlets? It's what would make sense to me.
