Jul 15, 2013Support! Though it is a bit pointless, and would be hard to code. Though, if they do, they would probably have to change the textures slightly, so you can't dye a wooden pick blue and make it look like a diamond one.Posted in: Suggestions

Nourishment and Sustenance seem like good names to me. The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the Food one refilling every 30 seconds. I would rather it be something like 45 seconds long and restoring 10 Hunger (half your bar). Just enough to tide you over until you can make some food or to sprint away from a mob.
Yeah, I didn't want to make it regen every thirty secconds, though that's what absorption does, so I was basing it off of absorption.

Nourishment maybe? It sounds better than food and means the same.
I like the ideas, but they probably won't be that useful when you are able to make potions, it kinda implies that you'd have quite a bit of resources. Oh and how would you brew the potions?
Nourishment is a good idea. Though I will wait for a couple more suggestions.
Jul 14, 2013NOTE: At the moment, I cannot think of a better name "Food". You can say a better name in the comments.Posted in: Suggestions
So, in the new update, they added two new health related effects, so I think that they should add two more, based around hunger, with similar effects.
Hunger Boost, will add two extra hunger points. Not just regain, though add them above your normal bar. Just like the "Health Boost" effect.
Food will add fake hunger bars. They are immediately filled, though go away after being used, or the potion effect running out. They refill every 30 seconds of the effect being activated. Like Hunger/Health boost, food is like the "Absorption", though with hunger.
Unlike the health bar, it doesn't really change maps, though I feel it would just be interesting.

This is indeed already planned. How I assume it will work is similar to many other games or Steam where you have an account name/email that is used to log in to the game and then a display name that you will be able to change either from the launcher or at Minecraft.net. This means any ban or whitelist would use the account name and not the display name.
However, this seems to be more about being able to change names in game than how the system should be set up.
Since you seem not to have looked at what I said, that is exactly what I said.

I think there are already servers that have plugins to change your username above your head as well as in the players list and chat.
Well, in the news, jeb said that some of the mojang employees are working on it, so I was giving them ideas.

Jul 14, 2013Hello! In the news, it was revealed they are working on adding a feature to change your username.Posted in: Suggestions
My idea is that in the code, each player has a code name, and a username.
When you make your account, you will make a username, which is what people see, and a code name, what you use in commands and whitelists.
When you whitelist someone, instead of typing the username of the person, you type the code name, which cannot be changed. You will see the username above there head, in chat, and in things like that, though all whitelists, or bans use the code name they choose, since they cannot change the code name, just the username. So the code name is what happens in commands, and in the code, though everyone else just sees the user name they chose.
A new command to work for this: /codename.
You would type it like this:
/codename [Player's Username]
Once done, it will say that player's code name. This allows you to easily find out what the player's code name is, so you could run commands, ban, etc.
Sorry if this was a bit hard to understand, I will try to write it better if enough people complain about it.
Well, recently, mojang said they are working on it.

According to them, each account will have an invisible ID. These can't be seen, so they are somewhat like my suggestion, though not really. Also, @ClemClem510 thought of almost the exact same idea as me. So, I am not the only person to think of this.
Jul 13, 2013No. Though one could go into offline mode, with magic launcher (which can use offline mode, even after the new launcher came out), and use one account in offline. If the second person logs in, then it will kick the host for sharing an account, which will close the server, since the host crashed.Posted in: Discussion

thats what i was about to say BTW do you want to help?
I can help with a bit. My computer isn't strong enough to host anything, though I am great with redstone stuff, though you will probably be using plugins.
