Hey, could you make me a Euphoric Noodle type skin? It should be a skin of pure noodles (different shades) with two horizontal black eyes, and a fadora. If you could do this for me if would be much appreciated! :D

I need someone to be kind enough to fix the colors of my skin for me. My skin turned out to be green instead of the desired yellow/brown. I need someone to shade/recolor this skin so that the light green (noodles) are different shades of yellow, and so that the dark greens (peanut butter) are browns, like peanut butter.

    Quote from Lindsey161

undefinedLooks like Mojang lawyers were just building in a legal kill-switch, leaving servers to grow large (helping to grow the Minecraft player-base to the size it is now), and then waiting until they had their own multiplayer service to execute the kill-switch and try have us shut down so players would have to come use Realms. I don’t know that I personally believe this, but that is one of the rationales being thrown around because server owners are trying to understand the motives behind the recent changes in policy and the unwillingness of Mojang to discuss and compromise on those changes.

I REALLY hope this is not true. If it is then this is one of the biggest moves I've ever known...

Mojang launched Minecraft Realms, free to play servers provide a free option instead of paying Mojang a monthly subscription fee and using Minecraft Realms (which is basically server built into the minecraft clients) Ninetendo wasn't losing money from youtube videos, but in issuing claims against lets players they made it so they could make extra money by taking the lets player's ad money. Mojang wasn't losing money, but if they can get more people into Realms that would mean they are making more money.

As for how does the change elminate free to play. Under the way servers are now, most make their money off selling perks, be it in game items, special pvp kits, guarenteed slots, special gold, etc...if you elimiinate all those options, and say the ONLY way these servers can make money is by donations (which most server owners say, simply never works out) OR by charging a subscription fee, then most will be forced to choose to charge a subscription fee in order to make enough money to keep the server running.

If lets say Playmindcrack server, says "well we now can't have in game gold, that is cutting out around 80% of the money we've been making in order to pay server admins, pay our community managers, make sure people like Rob are able to have enough money where they don't have to work 40 hours a week so are able to have free time to add game modes, etc.. so now that we've lost 80% of revenue since we can't sell in game gold (something whch again, wasn't really pay to win, you could earn in game gold from playing mini games, there was nothing you got access to with real money that you can't earn by simply playing on the server for free) but lets just say they say since they have lost their revenue source.. they say "in order to keep the server running, we have to charge a small monthly fee for access.

There goes free to play, and what you have swooping in is... minecraft realms... why pay playminecrack when you can just.. use minecraft realms and pay mojang. You pay mojang a monthly fee and you can run your own server. And since the EULA also says Mojang basically owns the right to use any mods created for minecraft.. guess what they've already started adding to minecraft realms, yep all the most popular mini games from these currently free to play servers. The entire point of this change is to boost minecraft realms so that mojang can squeeze money out of more players.

And why do you people keep saying "And about the realms, again, it's Mojang's property, they can do what they like." who has ever said that they couldn't? The issue isn't if they can or can't do it, its a question of is it smart? I've done marketing for video games, I've worked with companies on games and all IC an say is screwing over your customers --- which is what this is ---- is never a smart long term move. It's why I mentioned Ninetendo's mess, EA did the same thing with Sim City, could they legally force people to play online, yes.. was it smart to do? No. EA is getting backlash because they just took out a bunch of stuff from the Sims, and are now selling a subscription service to let people get access to the DLC which restors these basic functions, can they legally do that.. yes is it a smart long term business move to screw over their customers no. Mojang is free to do whatever they want... its doesn't make the changes smart

I had the wrong idea when you mentioned free-to-play. I'm seeing your point now more clearly now. Thank you for informing me.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but it will definitely be a hard task to make a sweet looking building with those blocks. Also Arial Black is a good font.

posted a message on EULA Revisited: an Updated Q&A From Mojang
Regarding the Nintendo thing, Mojang hasn't and will not lose money from servers, free or not. If their goal was to eliminate free-to-play servers, how would the EULA changes actually do so? The point of the EULA changes is to make all servers NOT pay-to-win and make sure if you don't have the extra cash to spend, you do not actually have to. And about the realms, again, it's Mojang's property, they can do what they like. It's not like they force or even push you to purchase or even play on a Realms server. Also, if you want a free server, you ALWAYS have that computer you are on RIGHT NOW to use as a host for a server, free of charge (except paying for your internet provider, but still).

    Edit:

Exact same argument Nintendo made when they flagged all Nintendo lets plays on youtube.. but at the end of the day it was a shameless money grab which the company is still trying to recover from. The entire point of this change is to eliminate free to play servers and boost Minecraft Realms, if servers only way to make money is a monthy subscription (or donatinos, which most servers said theyv'e tried and it doesn't work) the servers that are now free to play.. will switch over to a montly fee subscription based and guess who just happens to be pushing their new "built into the client, make your own servers.... as long as you pay us $13 a month to do so" service? ... yep, Mojang

I think this change is for the best. Also, it's Mojang's right to do what they like with THEIR game. People should not be earning money off of someone else's property.

posted a message on Skin Request
Hello all! Not going to lie, I can't make skins for anything. Here is my request for a custom skin that someone might be nice enough to make for me. Basically, it's a character made up of noodles with splotches on peanut butter here and there, and also covering top of head. Eyes preferably black, but easy to see. Thanks in advance!
