that doesn't count as texturing :P

but bucket fill aside, you could use 100% contrast and make a decent pack.

    And 100% brightness?

That would be painful. Oh, so very very painful. Actually, never mind. Your eyes would die before the pain gets in.

a bit of advise: only follow advice that you agree with. it's your pack, and it should be kept your own style. if someone gives you advise that you feel is wrong, chances are it is wrong for you, because there is no such thing the right way to texture.

There is a wrong way to texture though.

100% contrast, brightness and using only bucket fill.

Okay, I think I fixed the image.

It wasn't showing for me, I think it's finally time to move from cubeupload.com.

But I found this handy dandy website!
    http://postimage.org/

And guess what makes it even better than cubeupload (which was my favourite before) ?

    It keeps the file name.

Try saving the image! It's still inventory.png!

(Btw, if imgur already does all that, I don't care, cause they delete your stuff! :( )

How does this pixel art dirt look?

It's the best pixel art I've ever done in my opinion.

You also may have seen the planks in the background, which are from a different (test) pack which goes with these logs:

You ninja'd me on a topic that get's like a single post every week...

Nice display, but I also think you should either remove the bevel or remove the tiling, like someone else said.
    Quote from XSSheep

There are still many more people that use my pack without CTM than with, purely because it's 16x... Good idea though!

I personally like the rougher style textures but I know not everyone agrees with me. ;)

I think just reduce the contrast a tiiiiiiiiny bit. Would make it look better when it's in those whole block 'tiles' like it is there. (by that I mean how each block has the border around it)

Also guys, what do you think of this stonebrick? I was inspired by Levaunt's new ones. I think I will alternate dark and light bricks (the light bricks being the same colour as my old stonebricks) in it because they look kinda odd next to cobble when they are this much darker than it.

(for reference, the carved stonebricks and cobble are how dark it used to be, rest of the stonebrick is how dark I just made it as well as the new texture)

Sorry about the image quality btw, used imgur.

    Awesome stonebricks!

    Also,

    1.Regular Download

    2. CTM Download
    Quote from BonreoCat

Looks cool, although I personally don't like that every stone brick's outline is highlighted. Looks weird.

Anyway, I made a new logo for my WIP pack.

Fairy Block? I'm sorry, but NOBODY will be able to read that.

Well, BLOCK was pretty easy. But fairy should be easier to read.
    Quote from XSSheep

    Hence why I need sleep....

I actually thought the 'a' in fairy was an 'r'.... HURRRRRRRR! :P

Thanks, here are the alts I have now for when I figure out the new CTM format...

Awesome! I'm worried about how they'll tile though, randomly. Maybe you should just make a repeat out of them, but in a "Random" pattern.

    Brewing sternd!

I wasn't looking forward to doing this because I find brew stands difficult to texture and I've never actually used this item in game so I have trouble ummm... caring :P

But it turned out alright. Also did up a new bottle design (which is now my new avatar :)

    Awesome stuff!

Although, the SHAPES /arrangement could have been more original, it;s practically the same shapes as vanilla.

But damn, that bottle is smexy.
    Quote from darealmeesta

Here is my quartz :) What do you think?

Another question: Do you find it a bit sad, that with the next update only few people would use mods to see the CTM'd stuff?

Update: @SkyChaseZone Looks great. Not much more to say :)

Well, if I want people to play my pack with CTM I could always legally force them to.

i.e. "You may not run these images without my consent"

Me: I'm giving you consent to run these images, but only if you're using CTM at the same time.

I hope CTM allows us to change the item frames in the future too, I would like my frames to be a bit darker for sure.

    You already can!

    1. Make birch planks how you want item frames to look.

    2. Create CTM for Birch Planks how you want birch planks to look.

    3. Profit.

    My god...

    Don't.

    Just.

    No.

    You're too goooooooood.

    It's too aaaaaaaaaawesome.

    Whyyyyy!!!

Although, I do notice that the actual "texture" is overlayed onto the shapes.

Looks like it's time for my first "What do you guys think of this?" post here.

What with the native HD support I'm working on taking one of my current packs that I think could really benefit from a faceift and making it HD.

    Before HD

    After HD

In case you aren't familiar with my packs, this one is "Baby's First Minecraft" and is meant to look like those rounded plastic toys you see for toddlers.

    That looks awesome!

You have a space in the name, you have:

    [texturepack] nemo2byfish [/texturepack]

    it should be:

    [texturepack]nemo-2-by-fish[/texturepack]

    and it makes:

because your texture pack URL is:

    curse.com/texture-packs/minecraft/nemo-2-by-fish

    :)

    Looks wonderful :D

I know, put the good one in my thread.

    Quote from XSSheep

Wow, your new textures you've been making recently have all been a big improvement over the old ones, they have a much clearer (but still grimy) look. The old ones look muddy in comparison. Love them! :D

I do agree that you should bring back a bit of that reddish tint though!

John smith adds a lot of noise AFTER already dithering and having nice shading which screws with the tiling and makes things look a bit weird overall. That's really the only thing I don't like about his pack, if he left the textures cleaner like in Derivation it would look much better.

I do love the style of his blocks and the colours though, they do look very nice.

EDIT: Here's my new daylight sensor blocks and quartz pillars btw, I decided they weren't good enough before so I'm making them better and more unique.

    -snip

I love it! The top things look like some awesome CTM method, but really they're just normal!

I agree with this, although I'm not one who has OCD myself, but I've known those who do.

It really twitches my frustration to see the pack with so many downloads, and so many comments saying 'FaNks I ne3Des Th1s as MC givv me ODc Huurrrrrrrrrrrrrr'.
I actually got into a small-rant about it on YouTube, no idea why as everyone knows arguments there are rather pointless, and generally cannot be won, as the circle-jerkers were the majority (...that's a technical term, btw ;P)

Disco's builds are pretty neat, though.

    DARN IT!
I JUST downloaded it via Curse-Widget-Thingy-Majigy; but it was an outdated copy
    >:C

    *re-downloads*

Will maybe post screenies, probably of that adv. map project, for it's the only thing I seem to have decent-builds in.
    If I remember.

    1. Yeah, I know.

    2. They are, but they could look better :P

    3. Well, I really wanted to keep my PMC going, as the DPD was dangeriously low.

Bu don't worry, the Curse will be updated real soon.

    4. Thanks, I'd love to see some!
