Adding some more realism to Minecraft that would be great, but the art for the stamina bar will have to be remade xP

    Agreed.

I like the mechanics. If this were to be applied, I wouldn't mind.

hey flight potion that would be great but for 30 seconds with 2 ghast tears and a speed potion I'm going to make a mod about that

Almost all people here are saying it shouldn't last long or it shouldn't be in the game because it's OP, and then there's you that's suggesting to make it last longer...

You can still ascend by rapidly placing tons of blocks, or kill that person with an OP bow, for example. And since you fall down incredibly fast, you need to do it at the exact second, somehow get lucky and fall in a water body that's only like, 9 blocks deep at most, fall on a slime block... or you're doomed. You can drink a few other ones, if you have enough inventory space...

Since you're flying, can't you avoid the arrows? Can't you back away from the one that is building up or just hit him and make him fall? And yes, 36 potions should suffice to last a long time.

    Wrong!

Assuming the potions could give you enough time to do so without falling down on land and dying/getting hurt badly... Or, better yet, quickly teleport with easier to get enderpearls in larger quantities while wearing boots with feather falling.

Really? Can't you drink another one mid-air and continue flying? Can't you have a water bucket? Can't you ender pearl while flying which will make it go further? And yes. Flying is more OP than enderpearling. Someone ender pearling can't hover, which makes you invulnerable if you have a lot of these.

    Quote from Khenal»

A couple versions ago, Botania gave the thermalilly a pretty big cool down before it'll eat more lava. They make a decent bit of mana when they eat, but will eat much less often. If you do have the right versions of Botania and Blood Magic, you can use the Serenade of the Nether to easily make lava to feed them.

If not, consider playing around with the other flowers, or gourmarylus. If you happen to have Soul Shards installed, a cow spawner making steaks constantly to feed the flower will make you plenty of mana. I tried the slime flower once, but either my slime farm was poor (certainly possible), or the dayblooms are just really good. It all depends on if you mind having a large field doing something, or just want a handful of flowers to do the work.

Thanks! I will try it out.

1 Feather falling makes you take almost no damage from enderpearling.

Most griefing happens when you are not on the server, so the damage doesn't really matter.

2 Flying doesn't make griefing easier.

3 (and "stacks to 20 seconds" probably means you have to drink several potions to get that duration, so 3 potions would mean 30 seconds of flight, with you having to drink 2 new potions every 20 seconds)

1 Still, flying is more OP than that.

2 Yes, it does. Just light up the TNT and fly away.

3 If it is like that, the OP has to make that clear.

You know that there are lots of servers that give people OP, even lots of sbusive ones, right? (Which is giving them creative mode, which allows them to fly way faster and be completely immune to any form of damage, which renders your argument invalid.)

Yes, but those servers aren't really popular, while the ones that are fair and square have a higher rating.

I've had the best luck with just tons of dayblooms. 9x9 area with the spreader in the center, and putting every other bloom either in a hole or on a block of dirt (so they don't interfere). I think the fastest flower for making mana might be the gourmarylus, though that requires some kind of food farm as well. If you're running an older version of Botania (and have blood magic as well), thermalilly can produce tons of mana.

I'm running the one version that has two mana pools, 1 not that effective and another one that is more effective. And I do have Blood Magic mod. (The one with sigils, if that's what you're talking about.)

Not in any way worse than griefers enderpearling into your house, placing tnt, and teleporting away.

Being able to fly doesn't make TNT griefing significantly easier. (especially when the potions last only for a few seconds.)

He said it stacks up to 20 seconds. It is cheap, so just 3 will give you a good minute. Flying won't make you take damage, enderpearling will.

What is a good terra steel farm? I have got 6 NightShades, 4 DayBlooms, 1 ManaStar and two Mana Spreaders and a Normal Mana Pool. It's going really slow. What are any good ideas? Yes, I know terrasteel is like an end game material, but is it supposed to go that slow at all times? It has been alot and I could only power 4 petals with mana.

    EDIT:

What does a ManaStar do? Also what is the best Mana-Generating Flower?

What you should be doing is telling me how a second flight potion=trolling on servers, you have not answered it.

You don't want griefers flying around your house, placing TNT and burning it, then flying away, wouldn't you?

I guess so, but then they will have shot tons of fireballs by the time you do so, and you might fall into a lava ocean because of all those explosions, -Or you can just make a platform/box of cobblestone around you- depending on where you are (happened to me several times), and considering how much fire those things put in each explosion, you might fall on fire and burn yourself, or just accidentally step in one pile of fire with a tiny misclick. -Running through fire with armor on will often make it last only for a split second. And considering you go to the nether prepared, it will do that most of the times.

    Responses in bold.

Ghasts often tend to hover over lava, meaning that you will likely not receive the ghast tear, and their explosive fireballs travel pretty fast.

Yes, but you know that if you chase them and back down they have a chance to come close right? Also Ghasts can't blow up cobblestone or nether brick.

1.Pretty much. Also for how short the effect is, which makes it feel harder to get as well, as well as the fact that's it's basically walking/running above ground, because that's how slow you are flying.

2.But you can make the fire resistance potion 167% more durable with the cost of a single piece of redstone dust.

1.1 item does not balance ANYTHING. It's easy to get. Ghasts are 1 hit kill with an UNENCHANTED bow.

2.Yes you can, but still as I said, 1 item does not balance anything as it is easy to get.
