Yeah. If anyone makes an actual version of this mod for other versions, the download will probably be found here.

Also, things are reasonably priced, and you're able to check out texture packs before you buy them, at the cost of not saving.

IMO bedrock feels terrible to play. The store is depressing to even look at. MCXB1 edition should still be sold in stores and online, not prevented from ever seeing the light of day again.

I completely agree. Its astonishing to see people defending a port of pocket edition that even feels terrible on the version it was built for. Either update legacy editions again and leave Bedrock as an option for those who want it, or cater more to the console community with settings.

I'll also add in that the console editions are great for creative, as you can build and have fun with friends on the same screen without having to buy multiple copies of the game.

I would write out my idea here, but it would be extremely complex and would require completely new systems for weather, temperature, how water works, and more.

The thing about the MCXB1 store is it's not shoved in your face trying to force you to swallow down garbage.

I've recently been checking out Minecraft Bedrock again to see if it is finally worth to play. Unfortunately, even with all the Aquatic features, this version of the game still feels awful. I've been playing on Xbox One Edition for months now without a second thought about Bedrock. Now I give it to the Bedrock team to actually consider letting the community replace that awful UI, and actually do it separately for every platform. Now, this may unlock new potential for the UI, but the game's rendering and feel will not change. Which is the bad thing, because one of the big reasons why I hate this version will still be there. It just feels bad to play.

I've wondered from the start why in the world did they need to tear down Console Edition to force feed you a garbage version of the game. Xbox One Edition could've been continued and Bedrock would've still been popular and more accepted if it was optional. It wasn't a good business move to steal a perfectly good version of the game and replace it with a weird experimental version. Honestly, I don't blame Mojang for this. It has Microsoft written all over this. The Pocket/Windows 10 Editions were already popular and adding a new cross-platform version as an option would be awesome! If they still added updates to Xbox One Edition I would actually play Bedrock more because of it. Unfortunately, Microsoft decided to force people to play Bedrock.

Because of Microsoft's bad decision, I have been considering buying a PlayStation 4 just because of this. All my favorite games are on there. Fortunately Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition will not receive Better Together and continue updates as usual. Honestly, I know Bedrock tried to make something revolutionary, but it didn't really work because of their decisions and just the game itself.

Cross-platform isn't something that I really care about, especially on consoles. It really depends on the game if it is a good decision or not to add it, though. Games like Rocket League, Fortnite, etc. are the same game on all platforms. Unfortunately, Minecraft is different. Minecraft has three separate versions of the game, Console Edition, Bedrock Edition (previously just Pocket Edition,) and Java Edition. Since there are three types of the same game, there have to be some sacrifices to achieve cross-platform. In this case, you would need to remove an entire version of the game, which is what they've done to Xbox One Edition. This is why Minecraft cross-platform doesn't work that well. If they just made a cross-platform system for all the Pocket Edition versions I would be fine. Also, it would be cool if they added cross-platform for all the Console Editions. Aside from that, it's sad that it seems like Mojang doesn't really care about a huge chunk of their community. People have made it very obvious that they hate this version, but the developers don't seem like they even care.

They've been trying to fix this problem by stopping updates for the better version. I'd would've been fine if they continued updates on Xbox One Edition and when Bedrock was finally worth to play, stop updating Xbox One Edition. The only problem with that though is there would be so many mixed decisions, and I personally don't trust the Bedrock Team with deciding when Bedrock is worth to play, because they already think it is. The thing to do then is just let the community vote.

It's sad to see Minecraft Bedrock destroy Console Edition without any say from the community. I know it's their game, but they are not managing it well right now. They are treating like they will be forgiven, when I will not, along with a lot of other people. We need to change this, and we need to protect the PlayStation 4 Edition from being torn down like how the rest of the other versions.

Bottom Line People: We are getting Screwed by corporate Greed. There is Zero reason the Xbox One can't be updated. It's practically the EXACT SAME VERSION AS THE P$4 !!! DO NOT LET MICRO$OFT OFF THE HOOK FOR THIS! We need to let them know, not only on this forum, but any others that may apply and on the Xbox Live Forum as well. Remember they STILL don't have a way to manually save in game or EXIT WITHOUT SAVING on Bedrock. Really Think about this one people !!! I don't even use autosave, and haven't since the start of console because of how bad it can SCREW you over....

Has anyone seen how UGLY the water on Bedrock is after the aquatic update ? Even with the natural texture pack it's Hideous IMO. The Sugar Cane is bright almost neon day glow green. The game just looks a Horrid ! I only played it for a little bit with my younger brother. I couldn't stand it any longer.

The Issues regarding the manner in which you interact with the game have been beaten like a Dead Horse and they need to continue to being beat until they're a pulp in the street.

May the Good Lord help you if you have intricate Redstone workings or devices on your favorite world, that you ported over to Bedrock Naively !!!! Now you'll have to go back and re-engineer a lot if not all of it. For someone like me that's a huge nightmare and an absolute deal breaker. Bottom Line People is that there are So Many Things WRONG with Bedrock that I don't have the time to mention them, as do you not have the time to read them all here. We Need to work Together. Because Heaven Knows we're not going to be playing on Better Together ! I have NOT ported over my favorite world which started out on the Xbox 360 in 2014 to Bedrock, because of all these reasons.

The truth is the almighty dollar rules. The goal of ANY business is NOT to provide a product or service, it is to MAKE MONEY. Plain and simple. I do not expect MS's board of directors to make decisions based on what a MINORITY of us think. It doesn't matter what the reviews on this game are online, it is FLYING OFF THE 'SHELVES' all over the world.

I CHOOSE not to play what I BELIEVE TO BE an inferior game, and do not support bedrock in ANY way. In fact I deleted it on my One, and when I bought java I got a copy for win10 that I haven't downloaded. The only way that any of this is going to change is if it fails to turn a profit. But we all know that it will, because every day more people buy this game, they spend money in the store on overpriced crap, they log onto xbox live and launch Minecraft.

@InlandSet7 You have the bedrock edition and are happy with it. So go enjoy that version. Leave this thread for the people in which it was created for, people who want to enjoy the Xbox One edition, not only now but into the future for as long as P$4 is supported.

Micro$oft is updating the Xbox 360 version which is the very first OG, non PC version of MC(and the 360 is a few yrs out of production), but they WON'T UPDATE THE XBOX ONE VERSION, even though they were very happy to sell us brand new Xbox One Edition discs at Game Stop and other places that included various texture and mashup packs at the end of 2017 only to tell us less than 6 months later that it will no longer continue to be updated anymore. Meanwhile a six year old version of the game on a 13 year old console is getting the aquatic update, but Xbox One can't have it..REALLY ThInk about that, people.... W ell T hat's F antastic Micro$oft....just WOW....

Its not just quasi connectivity that is different in bedrock. The way redstone is processed is WAY different. If you are a casual player then you won't notice, untill you try to build something out of a tutorial and it doesn't work. You cannot generate zerotick signals, t-flip flops are massive again because you can't make a sticky piston loose its block, the area around the player that is actually processed is tiny, limiting the scope of contraptions, and there are many more examples.

I've been looking at both sides of this argument from the day we knew that legacy x-one was cancelled. From what I see the people who enjoy the bedrock version are casual players who will take it for what it is, no matter what, as long as they get new stuff once in a while. The people who dislike bedrock, like me, are more 'hardcore' if you will. I have played this game since 2014, it started as casual play because my grandson wanted to play with me. A couple weeks later I watched some youtube vids to get ideas for when I play with him and when I saw how you could use the game mechanics and the resources available to you to control the game world like no other game I've ever played, I was hooked. Four years later a normal project for me consists of 100,000 block structures and takes me several months to complete. The sorting system I'm prototyping for my new java world is already over 120,000 blocks and it isn't even finished. Bedrock changes many things and removes many features that are essential to any technical minecraft player. I get StatPadder's argument about being able to manually save, and it is a console exclusive feature (java and bedrock work the same way, theres no going back unless you back up your world). On a console backing up a world is not as easy as opening explorer and copying and pasting to a backup folder, and autosave on console can disrupt gameplay with huge lag spikes.

I'm not trying to say that one group is better than the other, it is a sandbox game after all, meant to be played in any way the user wants. Just trying to offer some clarity to those who are on one side or the other and wondering what people are complaining about.

If the games says 'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' it is that version, if it just says 'Minecraft' it is the new Bedrock/Better Together version.
