There may not be infinite, but there are ALOT. Take every decision in life, every movement, everything. There are already so many combinations. Multiply that by 7.3 billion. Also, the laws of physics can be different in other universes. There are probably more than 1010^10^100 universes.
Also, for your second question, I would probably absorb (is that the right term?) them both if they have less mass. Basically, if black holes collide, not much energy is released as most of it stays inside the black hole.
