posted a message on Read this before you port and redistribute texturepacks

When porting and redistributing texturepacks, be sure to include permission from the original creator of the texturepack when distributing (posting a download link) to the forums. You can do this by asking the owner in the original thread if you may port and distribute their texturepack. If they have replied and have agreed for you to do so, provide a link to the post in your thread/post.

If this is not done, your download link to the port of the texturepack will be deemed as 'Stolen Content' and the appropriate warnings will be given.

I understand some texturepacks state on their thread that they are allowed to be distributed freely, just make sure that you quote that on your thread/post.

Most people seem to have understood this rule, but I just thought I'd bring it up again for the members who are either new or simply didn't know.

    MCPE Rules

    Thanks.

Feel free to post any questions in regards to porting and redistributing texturepacks here in this thread.

Here, I edited out all the rude bits, now it's just a straight forward explanation:

I would love for this to be what we send all people who to use that argument.

The no face thing annoyed me a lil.

posted a message on Overlooking threads in the Minecraft: Pocket Edition section
Hello! I write this just to address some of the newer OP mods about unique situations within the Minecraft: Pocket Edition sections. This thread basically just identifies threads that can be easily overlooked by moderators, and how they should be dealt with appropriately.

    Software Request Threads

For example, say there was a thread in MCPE: Discussion with the title "iPad 2 Screen Recorder?!". Now, it's obvious why they ask this in MCPE: Discussion, to record MCPE. As the thread is requesting software, and as this forum has a Software Discussion and Support section, threads like these are to be moved there as they have no direct relation to Minecraft Pocket Edition.

An example thread that has been moved from MCPE: Discussion to Software Discussion and Support:

    http://www.minecraft...rding-for-ipad/

    Another example:

    http://www.minecraft...android-phones/

    Question Threads

Another matter would have to include questions. We have two places to ask questions, one in Pocket Edition Support, and one as a pinned thread at the top of MCPE: Discussion with the title "MCPE: Questions and Answers". When you get threads such as "My MCPE Crashes" they are to be moved to Pocket Edition Support, and when you get threads like "What's the Nether Reactor", they are to be locked, and linked to the MCPE: Questions and Answers thread in the lock message.

    So remember:

    - Hardware related question threads are to be moved to Pocket Edition Support.
    - In game related question threads are to be locked and linked to MCPE: Questions and Answers.

An example thread that has been moved from MCPE: Discussion to Pocket Edition Support:

    http://www.minecraft...ag-please-help/

An example thread that has been locked and linked to the MCPE: Questions and Answers thread:

    http://www.minecraft...t-sure-answers/

    Banner and Avatar Shops/Requests Threads

Banner and avatar shops/requests threads are to be moved to Shops/Requests as they have no relations whatsoever to Minecraft Pocket Edition.

An example of one of these threads moved from MCPE: Discussion to Shops/Requests:

    http://www.minecraft...-the-backround/

    Another example:

    http://www.minecraft...ndroid-avatars/

Although, watch out. There are exceptions such as threads that do that and also port maps/texturepacks for Minecraft Pocket Edition, in this case they are not to be moved as they have Minecraft Pocket Edition content within them.

Anyways, I hope this clears up any confusion some of you may of had about certain instances such as these as they can be easily overlooked. I know some of the newer OP moderators may have only been familiar with the Minecraft: Pocket edition or the Minecraft: Xbox 360 section and may not know all sections of the forum very well.

I'll probably add more information to this thread about other certain situations as they arise as well.

    Take care.

posted a message on Online Multiplayer before 0.7.0
There is already a thread dedicated to Multiplayer for Minecraft PE where members can view information and discuss the app. The thread can be found here.

    Locking this thread for redundancy.
