This seems to mean MCF usernames are no longer tied to Twitch usernames, but there seems to be no way to change usernames here on MCF...
I say this b/c my username is now what I signed up with 4 years ago, not what I had changed it to with Twitch.
PMC is unfortunately a bit more full of spam stuff than here and reddit.
I avoid the Discord mainly because, in general, people just talk about whatever. Also, it's not nearly as organised as the forum.
RIP. After this, everyone left will have to move to r/Minecraft, r/MinecraftSuggestions, and r/MinecraftHelp.
Please let MC-121376 be fixed soon!
Am I the only person in the world who hates Twitch as a company? YouTube livestreaming works just as well, and is more versatile, plus Twitch is acquiring a bunch of other companies.
Will there be a Mac option for the 'Better Together' update? I have this:
and as a Mac player, I can only hope they add an option.
:lol::rolleyes: the recipe for it.
In the data for each item, you can change the 'attack speed' to as high a number as the game will accept.
Concrete powder is shapeless!

On Java Edition, at least, your world is just a folder in .minecraft/saves. You can copy and paste the folder wherever you want!

Additionally, the current items that can be dyed like that don't stack. It would be very annoying to have items that can't stack or must be exactly the same shade to stack.

Microsoft hasn't licensed 32-bit versions of Windows since 2020. There are very few computers still available that run on 32-bit processors. By the time 32-bit processors are too old for Minecraft, they won't have been available for purchase in 2 to 3 years. Additionally, Steam estimates that less than 1% of Windows users use a 32-bit operating system -- and of those, not all have a 32-bit processor.
While being backwards compatible is a great goal, it's not realistic to spend a lot of extra development money and time for such a small portion of users, it's just not worth ensuring 32-bit compatibility.

That makes sense. Minecraft, as it gets bigger, needs more RAM. 32-bit processors have a 4GB RAM limit, and 1.18 already requires 4GB. Any more, and 32-bit will need to be abandoned.

While in theory, I agree, I think in practise there is very little use case. Several enchantments don't even work above the values that vanilla allows (like Multishot) and others are maxed out anyway (Sharpness 255 can already kill anything instantly). Enchants like Depth Strider or Frost Walker could be incredibly laggy at higher levels, too.

If you think they're safe is up to you (though MultiMC is completely open source, so many people make sure they are). They don't use the default .minecraft directory. They're just alternate minecraft launchers that have different features, such as easier mod management.

The seeds in 1.18 are different from 1.17 due to the changes in world generation.

Use the /data command, or use a WAILA mod (such as WAWLA or The One Probe, whatever is updated and has a Forge or Fabric release, depending on what you prefer to use)

The point of it is to enable the use of features that Microsoft accounts have, like 2FA, but Mojang accounts don't have. Additionally, it will make it possible to have a single launcher for Java, Bedrock (Windows 10), and Dungeons, as you'll only have to be signed in with the one account.
I agree that the cape is a carrot and making it mandatory after a few months is a stick, but I genuinely think this is a good decision for security (just look at the forums here and see how many people have been hacked and want help here, despite Mojang being the only ones that can help with that). This will also help with account issues, as it will no longer rely on Mojang's customer support but Microsoft's.

They keep the seed private as then you could go into singleplayer with the same seed and find all the ores and structures without any penalties or playing on the server itself.

You can get cobble tools from blackstone and kill hoglins that way.

They actually did that with 1.15. Along with fixing a ton of other bugs, they remade the entire rendering engine and called it "Blaze 3D", at least when developing it, which made TNT a ton less laggy and chunk loading way faster.
What you're asking for is literally just 1.15.

Maybe. Go into Twitch Preferences (Cmd+','), then the 'Minecraft' tab. Make sure it's trying to use a version of Java 1.8

If, when you click 'Play', it moves to another tab called 'Game Output' like in this video:

Does the launcher move into the console output? If not, please open the Console.app (it should be in the /Applications/Utilities folder). Then post any errors or crash reports. Also, make sure that the Twitch app is trying to use Java 8.
