    Quote from Pizarro

I personally don't see what good will come from blocking outside of PvP. The current mobs are too weak and basic to really need blocking. Unless we get bosses which are super tough or hostile mobs are able to block as well, blocking isn't serving any special purpose for single player.

Well I heard somewhere that there were bosses in the ravines or something. And maybe there will be AI bump-ups.
I used Combat++ and blocking was pretty pointless but it was fun to use, just because I can.

Second. Blocking would be awesome. The problem is that you would never know when to block since the creeps (zombies, spiders especially) don't really have fight animations...

Mmm.. But you know when they're about to hit you. When they get too close just block.

    as it exists currently

Sheesh. I'll bet people had the same worry when Creative Mode was taken out of the game. So learn from the past, Notch isn't going to take away the Minecraft feel, what it was based off of. Why would he do something that takes away the Minecraftness?

The only difference is there will be more rewards for exploration and adventuring. Do you read the wiki?

It's not being updated until Minecraft's release. I think it still works with 1.7.3

    Vanilla is how I play.
I like to play the game how Mojang envisioned the game to be played.
Mods are awesome, I agree, but I wouldn't add them to my game. Vanilla ftw.

You know Jeb said "I expect mods to be better than the official game." right? He likes the idea of modding to make the game better.

Using expansion-like mods like the Aether keeps the game vanilla, and you can focus on building there, I've done it. It's not hard to do. >.> Vanilla doesn't mean modless. It means not cheating to get your items.
Why wouldn't you use mods like OptiFine that boost your framerate and give you more options in your menu? I really don't understand the reason of it.

What is your interest in joining?: The old server I played on shut down and I haven't found any servers near as awesome. After looking around this server looks better! :ohmy.gif:
Have you read the rules? Yes/No: Yes.
How did you find Aurora?: This thread. :3

    Quote from chuggaaconroy10

Guys I am making a adventure map and should the ending be like tricking them into pressing a button and being blown up or an open door leading to lava falling from the ceiling?
Aside from that I heard there is a possibility that you can win the game how do you feel?

TnT could crash games. I advise against it even though that's what I chose. :tongue.gif:
You could also give them the button chance or a chance to continue on. Then if they continue on you add more to the map starting from where they left off.

posted a message on Is notch going to far 1.8 ?
    Quote from Worldsshrugged

Well listen guys. I'm a bit worried. I think the experience bar may be going way too far! It just kills the regularity to level up.

Although it might win some stupid guy who told me MC was pointless because you couldn't level up.
    What a noob.

He likes roguelike games so he's adding a roguelike feature. It's his game let him do what he wants to it. Do you really think Notch would add something to the game that takes away the feel of Minecraft? All we know is exp and leveling. It could be something way different than what you expect.
Yes we do have proof it's experience. He said so. >.>

posted a message on I'm confused about the Yogscast
Quote from Yogscast Wiki - Minecraft Series under Production »
Lewis stated in a Nordrassil Radio interview that he had built one of Mistral City's air ships, but did not reveal how much input they have in the building process. In the same interview, Lewis and Simon revelaed that they had very little knowledge of the plot or direction that the series is going to take. In this way, the NPCs act as 'Dungeon Masters' for the series, giving Lewis and Simon tasks and quests to drive the plot forwards. Lewis and Simon communicate with each other through voice chat, which provides the series' commentary, but can only communicate with NPCs using the in-game chat function, and vice versa. It is unknown, but likely, that the NPC group also uses a similar method of out-of-game communication to co-ordinate their actions.

You say I'm wrong about this? Of course they created the series, they're the main characters. And Lewis hosts the server on a separate computer. He's said it multiple times.
I've been watching them for quite a while.. >.>
