To make the pole you see, place a dirt block down, and put one fence on top of it. Remove the dirt block, and place a fence under the one you just placed.
Birch doesn't burn like other wood.

Needs more testing. I put lava on it and it burnt, but it seems normal fire doesn't burn it well.
This happened to me once. What did I do?
I jumped in after it, swam 40 feet under the lava, grabbed the diamond's spirit and gave it CPR. After about 10 minutes, it became a tangible object, and I went home happy.
That's a perfect guide that would totally work for me, but now I know the underlying problem. Even with both of those options checked, I don't have a "Stereo Mix" selection.
then you need to update your audio driver i believe i had the same issue when i upgraded to win7 lost my sound driver got some generic microsoft one
if you know your soundcards brand/model go to their site and download the most recent driver for your card
