posted a message on Negative Spaces Mod?
This is rather hard to exaplain or search for, so if this exists my apologies. I am looking for a mod to let me fill "negative spaces" like sconches created with stair/half blocks.

The spaces I am talking about are shown in the above images. In the vanilla game, you cannot place torches or glass panes or paintings in these spaces, even though they technically are 1 full block in size. They are simply offset. Is there a mod to be able to place things in these spaces?

I was just curious if there is a mod that specifically removes the ice-like movement from flying in Creative mode. Maybe even allows for speed control. My searches have been fruitless so far.

You know that would be a massive copyright breach, would take a REALLY long time to code, and would be very buggy even when it was done?

Copyright breach, yes. But only because Minecraft is not free.

Buggy and really long to code? No. There's already a Pokemon mod that works extremely well, and even includes Pokebattles.

Exactly. It would really give more flexibility for us who make Adventure maps to make our worlds seem not-so-empty. The modding potential is also increased, just with my somewhat simple implementation of this, I could see mods that allow custom textures, markers over the head, followers, etc.

I would just like to suggest a way to place NPCs (testificates or Steve clones) around in Creative or Adventure Mode (with cheats on for the builders of the adventure map; not necessarily players of the map) to add more life to an Adventure map.

Ideally, you should be able to make them static or wander around like they do now, but also with the option of making them "usable" so, as a map builder, you could tie them to /commands and output text, so you could build quests for the players of your adventure, without using boring signs and command blocks.

posted a message on Do you use the LAN feature?
I use it to play with just my brother and sometimes with my friend when he comes over.

I prefer single player, but I still also like to play with my friends and LAN is secure and doesn't add things that make the game something I don't want to play like most public MP servers.

posted a message on DONE BUTTON, Y U COVER OPTIONS?
So... I have mods that add items to controls or other options pages and the DONE button is always getting in the damn way.

Is there some way of fixing the UI so it scales to accomodate new menu items, so that buttons do not overlap buttons/text/inputboxes?

posted a message on [1.6.2] Armor Movement Mod - Forge Update!
Would it be possible to add some boots that when you hold the action button down, you have 0 friction?

I want to couple that with the jetpack and have Tribes-like movement in Minecraft :D

A stone button against smoothstone, in a darkened cave, is hard to see.

If using default textures, yes. But many texture packs make them different enough that hiding a button like that is rather difficult.

Yes, kinda like how you move when on Ice, but without any friction at all.

You slide on the ice more than normal blocks, but you still stop eventually just due to friction. I am looking for a mod that makes friction 0 while a button is held, so if you start running then hold the button, you will remain the same speed until you hit something.

I want to be able to do things like this in Minecraft:

I was just curious if there was any sort of mod that makes a button that removes friction from the player so you could ski around. I am sure there is probably a jetpack mod, also, but I might as well ask for a link to one here if there is.

I am getting a black screen after using this with version 1.3.2 of Minecraft.

EDIT: Seems that either Better Skies or Connected Textures has a problem. Unchecking both of them for me makes the patch work just fine.

posted a message on The Old Second Arrow Recipe
I am trying to prove something to my brother here and can't find it on the wiki because it simply doesn't go back far enough in it's archive.

I am like 99.9% certain that, in Alpha, arrows had a second (bugged?) recipe that used an alternate material besides Flint. I can't remember what it was; IIRC it was Iron, but I never used this rather expensive method over Flint.

Please help us settle this bet.
