Someone asked the same question awhile back, here's Noppes's answer:
ah thank you sorry, hope noppes gets it to work soon! Definitely one of the best implementations I've seen in a while, and I'm sure with noppes great skill he can do it ;);o;D
Hey noppes don't want to be too much trouble but anything special you need to do to get the LAN working? Me and a friend are doing LAN over hamachi and we aren't able to see eachothers items on backs or models for that matter
Elfs look good.
f6 works like ordered.
I found a bug with the POV change that if you got a model which is smaller than the default model you will become a bit jumpy in place. Camera jumps up and down
yep I got the jumpy view aswell, and elfs look great
That might be true, but in the tems and conditions it clearly says: 4. Use License

modify or copy the materials;
use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on MinecraftSkins.com's web site;
remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.
This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by MinecraftSkins.com at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.
So Ill just stick to my own policy and that is that I need the permission from the creator
oh haha well fair enough
Edit: okay well I really quickly did up a skin if you really need it
I for one wouldn't mind having elf models clip through blocks. Just a thinner, taller model would be great. Ears shouldn't be needed as they can just be drawn on as they would with a default skin.
Other ideas that could be great:
-fairies (small females with wings, maybe float?)
-goblins (short with big heads, and pointy ears and noses) as seen on RPG Mobs mod http://i.imgur.com/zXTZR.png

I'm sure the creator won't mind, they willingly uploaded the skins on a community sharing site so I'm sure it's adequate
