Nov 30, 2011I think it's just lighting errors for both the chest and the arm.Posted in: Java Edition Support
EDIT: Actually, for the chests, I don't know, sounds like that story about the guy, whatever he touched turn to gold, except in this case everything turns black.
Nov 29, 2011The way I took it is that the two guys chatting were actually, saying how WELL you've done. They are saying what mostly all Minecraftians have done. They're just talking in a form of way that normal society doesn't. Again, the ending was the way YOU thought of it. They didn't force some way of thinking it upon you. You pretty much have to interpret in your mind. Anyways, they also weren't implying the end, in fact I'm pretty sure they WANTED you to continue your journey otherwise they wouldn't have said, 'Wake up.' or let you continue in your world.Posted in: 1.0 Update Discussion
Nov 26, 2011Creepers have a problem, their brain is connected to TNT and the body heat from us makes the TNT set off. They want to be our friends but, they always blow themselves up killing themselves and harm us, humans. For that they are always sad.Posted in: Survival Mode

Oct 30, 2011The official set has been announced! It's called 'LEGO Minecraft Micro World'.Posted in: Discussion
LEGO® Minecraft™ Micro World details unveiled, available for pre-order
BILLUND, Denmark –The LEGO Group and Mojang have released purchase details and pictures of the LEGO® Minecraft™ Micro World today.
The new set, which was the first to receive 10,000 votes of support from users on the global LEGO CUUSOO idea collection platform, will be available for purchase in summer 2012, but can be pre-ordered from today, exclusively through Mojang retail partner Jinx.com for $34.99 €34.99 at http://www.jinx.com/LEGOMinecraft. The sets will also be sold in select LEGO brand retail stores and the LEGO online shop from summer 2012.
“LEGO Minecraft Micro World is designed to celebrate the essence of the LEGO concept and the Minecraft gaming experience,” said Paal Smith-Meyer, Head of the LEGO New Business Group. Each set features four cubic modular vignettes that can be connected to recreate the Minecraft experience in LEGO bricks. One Minecraft block is represented as one 1×1 LEGO plate with a tile on top – not a perfect cube, but the best approximation at the chosen scale.
LEGO Minecraft Micro World includes two of Minecraft’s most iconic characters, Steve and a Creeper, represented as “Micro Mobs.” The model presents a standard for building a Minecraft world that can be configured any way the builder likes.
The surface of the modules comes off to reveal mines and hidden resources beneath. Fans can build their own landscapes, stack cubes on top of each other, to build the world of Minecraft as they wish.
The product was developed in collaboration with four LEGO fans: Chris Malloy, Michael Thomas, Kyle Tingey, and Bjarne Panduro Tveskov. These fans developed concepts alongside LEGO designers and helped shape the product into its final version.
Upon seeing the physical model the first time, Mojang founder Markus “Notch” Persson exclaimed: “Woohoo!”
LEGO CUUSOO is a website where LEGO fans can submit their ideas for new LEGO products and collect votes to make their ideas become a reality. They can also vote for other users’ ideas. It can be found at http://lego.cuusoo.com.
Ideas that are supported by 10,000 votes have a chance of being selected to become part of the LEGO Group’s product portfolio. Consumers who have their ideas chosen will earn 1% of the total net sales of the product.
Mojang will donate the 1% proceeds from LEGO CUUSOO to charity.
For more on the co-creation process for LEGO Minecraft Micro World, see the LEGO CUUSOO blog at http://legocuusoo.posterous.com.

Why is the set micro scale and not minifigure scale?
We felt that micro was able to pack as much size into the set as possible with as little cost as possible. This was meant to be a display model more than a play model, so the more the better.
Why is Steve too big to fit in the house?
Unfortunately it was either this size, or no Steve or Creeper at all. Which to you prefer? If you dislike it so much then make it so that Steve can fit, that's the magic of LEGO.
Are there any ores included?
There are indeed ores located in the caves of the set. The only known ore so far is gold, but very little of the cave systems have been shown so far.
Why is the set so expensive?
The set is actually less expensive than it should be with the current price per part ratios of every other LEGO set available on the market at the moment. If this set used the same parts per price ratio as every other set then it would be $50.00. So be glad that LEGO decided to mark it down.
Why doesn't Steve have arms?
Unfortunately the only way to properly give Steve arms is with new molds, which are not a possibility for this set. We tried other ways but eventually decided that Steve looked better with no arms than with large bulky ones.
Why do some of the blocks not have smooth tops?
It was decided that in order to maintain the LEGO look that blocks that stone would not have a smooth top, but a studded one.
Why are some of the blocks taller or shorter than they should be?
This was a mistake on LEGOs part. But, like I said before, if you dislike it so much, change it.
Why are the blocks not printed?
I honestly think that most people set their expectations way too high for this set. Printed bricks would be very expensive, driving up the cost of the set quite a bit. Also, if all of the blocks were printed then the set would look more like a print out of an area than a LEGO set.
Show that you are a proud supporter of the set with this sig:
Hey everyone, I've started another LEGO Minecraft project on LEGO Cuusoo, this time for a minifigure scale Village set!

Nov 18, 2011When I first heard of Minecraft, a little more than a year ago, I was almost immediately sold on the game. After watching a couple of Seananner's video's, I was was thinking "This is awesome!" I actually got the game the day before Beta came out. I was charmed by the fact that it didn't taking astounding graphics to make a game enjoyable. I was charmed by the fact that this game differed from pretty much every game I had played before that. I was charmed that the game had no storyline, that what mattered was your survival. Minecraft, to me, has meant that I can go on and have no idea what I am going to do. I don't HAVE to build a house. I don't HAVE to chop down a tree. I can just walk for miles and miles. Over the past year, I have seen so many astounding things burst from Minecraft- mods, buildings, adventure maps, servers, memes, and everything - that not once have I ever thought something new and exciting is going to pop up. I can go on the forums and take a quick look at the Mods an Texture packs section and Voila! I've got a brand new texture pack to try out or a mod to mess around with.Posted in: Discussion
Minecraft has meant to me that nothing is impossible. Over the past year, I have seen truly amazing creations. Just the other day, I went into the screenshots section and saw a picture of a truly amazing creation. It was a circular village, with a circular temple in the center that was spectacular. A glass dome rested on top, and it had glowstone points rising above the dome. I have seen calculators made out of Redstone that I would never be able to make. Pixel art, underwater cities, I'm never ceased to be amazed by Minecraft. I have also seen small cottages, charming villas, and beautiful waterfalls.
Minecraft has taught me that nothing is impossible.

This is my second ever commentary, if you could, try to correct me and instruct me on how to improve my videos but don't be too harsh as I'm only new to this.
This is my second commentary I have ever done, please keep that in mind.

Sounds great! Ghasts would be too massive to put in the bucket anyways
Oh, and a farm with all the passive mobs and a Steve would be nice (Pumpkin and Wheat farm)Oh, and i made The End
Look good? It didn't take long to make though XD

Oct 9, 2011Hugna's void discussion sprouted an idea in my mind (thank you Hugna!)Posted in: Suggestions
What if the void had a mob, a glowing one. No, they do NOT give off light, it's just their model is glowing.
Playing around in Creative, I realized that Notch allowed access to the void, also making it pitch black. Small grey particles float up, adding a mystic presence. Mystic. That's the feeling that this mob will add. Just seeing them is mysterious - they bring many questions, such as where did they came from, how do they live here, and what the heck are they? I hope this post will answer those questions for you.
Spawn: Within 100 blocks of you in the void.
Lantyrns will levitate, rotating horizontally and spinning. A lantyrn will occasionally jet up or down by retracting their tentacles like a squid. They never turn on their side.
A lantyrn has 1/2 hearts of health. If you damage one, it will not die, but disappear in a cloud of particles, like the ones the void emits.
Interestingly, a Lantyrn is attracted to light. That means if you open a crack to the void, Lantyrns will attempt to float up above bedrock. If there is enough room for them, they will be successful. When they are attracted to sunlight, they will rise as they are attracted to the sun. This is a cool addition, as you can have a celebration on a server where the admins open up a hole to the void at sunset, releasing the Lantyrns into the atmosphere. If it turns night while a Lantyrn is going towards the sun, they will continue. From a distance, it looks like a group of stars flying up into the sky.
Lantyrns will despawn above double the sky limit, 256. This will prevent lag.
Lantyrns look like floating lanterns, hence their names. All 5 of their tentacles stick out from the center of their underbelly. On each side of a Lantyrn is an eye, creating a mystic appearance. They are always bright and are never affected by a dark light level (like a redstone torch).
As seen above is a Lantyrn, the inhabitant of the void.
Adding Lantyrns not only adds a mystic presence to the void, but makes it more significant. Right now the void is known as a dark place where to fall endlessly and die. Great. With Lantyrns, it expands the potential of the void. Even though you cannot meet a Lantyrn in Survival, just knowing that they exist under your feet is enough to add to the void.
Oct 1, 2011So, I recently ran into a... well, a bug. It has to do with pistons and unpowering them.Posted in: Survival Mode
So, set up a lever and downwards facing piston, like so:
Standing on top, power it, then, unpower it, and you will fall through.
This may have been found before, and may not work in 1.9 Pre2, but I can see some very nice traps coming from this.
EDIT: You need to be exactly on a single piston if you have multiple together.
I also believe it only works directly adjacent to a power source (i.e. lever, button, pressure pad. Not redstone)
EDIT2: It may actually be a bug with Optifine (HD_S_A)
Anyone mind confirming this? I hadn't thought about the possibility before.
