posted a message on [1.4.7] [v0.6] TARPG | SMP COMPATIBILITY!
Sorry, guys. Updates on TARPG have, for now, ceased. I'm not sure if or when an update will end up coming out, but for now, use 1.4.6/1.4.7 if you want to use the mod.

Okay, I'm starting work on the project and have looked through the pdf. Is there a minimum size for each building? I don't want to make things too small by accident.

Well, not really. Make it a good size. For example, don't make a, say, Furnace Room, that has a, say, 3x3x3 area inside. Likewise, don't make a single room so big that it takes 10 minutes to walk half the room's length. Make a size that has enough room for Storage and stuff like that, but not so big that it takes too long to get from Point A to Point B.
(P.S. Thanks for using the support banner)

Very interesting challenge, I will attempt it. I do have one question, I don't know of a way to make a drawbridge, is it okay just to have bridge that submerges?

Well, a drawbridge is pretty much an "access bridge" that 'opens' and 'closes'. Just make sure that the water flow fixes itself. ;)

posted a message on Minecraft Indev - World Sizes? (Not Solved)
    Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the proper section to ask this, but here I go:

For a reason I would prefer not to specify, I need to know the sizes of the Indev World Sizes. Small, Medium, and Large. I have attempted to Google it, but I have not found the answer I've been looking for. I would prefer the size of the world, in blocks, on the "x" and "z" axes (not the tool). But not the "y" axis, please.

    Thanks, Pikadex

posted a message on [April Fools] Minecraft 2.0 is Finally Coming!
Heh. Good April Fools joke, Mojang.

Known bug: Having both a Pink Wither and a Wither in your world at the same time may cause up to a 200% increase in framerate. Will be fixed for launch.

Probably one of the biggest giveaways. :3

Hi there, thought i'd give your challenge ago, just wanna say that it's an awesome idea, and it's certainly made minecraft a lot more fun :) thanks ^-^

Thanks! But if it weren't for MinecraftUniverse, I wouldn't have ever made this challenge. It's strongly based after his series, but with a few tweaks.

    The latter. :)

posted a message on UPDATED PIX: Gryphons (Balanced flight for Survival mode)
    Quote from jde

    14. Talon grab (SkarmorySilver, papertiger): The idea that your Gryphon should be able to grab things with it's talons on command while mounted. Possible things Gryphons could grab: mobs, players, items, blocks. To make it balanced, if your Gryphon did grab a mob or player, the mob or player would still be able to aim up and attack the Gryphon and/or it's rider. With this form of balance in mind, the player would be able to use it's Gryphon to drop mobs from great heights, inflicting falling damage. This would be at the risk of the Gryphon and the Player's health and well being, however.

If momentum was something in Minecraft, this could be used to quickly pick up and throw an entity.

I also have an idea for the Gryphon:
If you were to find a nest, there could be a chance of an adult Gryphon sitting on it's egg, warming it like a mother bird (or at least chicken) does. If you were to get too close, the Gryphon would start hissing/growling/something else-ing at you, warning you to leave. If you attempt to take the egg, get too close, or attack the mother, she would begin to attack you! You can wait for the mother to leave, or you can try to kill the mother. Waiting can be risky, as the baby might end up hatching, making it so you can no longer tame the baby.

Idea could be worked on a bit, perhaps, but anyways...
I think this is a fantastic idea! I hope to see this Gryphon in a future version of Minecraft. :)

What do you mean? I think that looks very aesthetically appealing!

Well, now I will answer your question. I don't intend this as advertising, but I recently made a topic called the "Ultimate Shelter Challenge". I think it might be cool for you to try out, as it would give you something interesting to do.
    Hope this helped,

posted a message on What is the noobiest mistake you ever made in Survival?
    Quote from Gummyberry

Ya, I know we have all done the following

    - Hit a block for hours waiting for it to break but never realizing you have to hold the mouse button

    - Building your first house out of dirt.

    - Wondering how to craft pickaxes

    - Thinking you can mine for all ores with a wooden pickaxes

    And a lot of time's

-Getting trolled by your friends on you first day

I, actually, have never had ANY of these things happen to me. A while before I bought the game, I watched Minecraft on YouTube. So I had an advantage, sort of.

The noobiest mistake I made was during my first survival world. During Beta 1.2 or 1.3, I wanted to make an incinerator. So, right up against my house, I made this thing out of cobblestone. This was in my first world that I really played. Since I hadn't ever had any experience with incinerators, I placed the lava, and since the lava didn't touch my wooden home directly, I thought it was safe. But then, a flame. Keep in mind this was before fire was nerfed. The fire was getting uncontrollable, and I screamed "NO!", somewhat like a girl would if she saw her husband/lover get slaughtered before her eyes. I cried as I watched my work turn to ashes. Chests burned, too, and I think I managed to get most of my stuff. I had a big room I planned to be a living room, and after that fire, it was as if it was never there. After that, I rebuilt my house out of cobblestone, and moved my incinerator further away. If that happened to me now, I would have deleted the world out of fury.

If that wasn't my noobiest mistake, then it was deleting that world. Sure, I never got a single diamond in it, but, in the end, it was probably one of my favourite worlds, despite what had happened on that day. I thought I didn't need it anymore, but it hold the most important thing out of all worlds I have ever generated: memories.
