n00bdragon posted a message on Since when is minecraft a constant onslaught of zombies? What about those of us who want a game about building stuff but don't necessarily want to play on Peaceful? I don't mind monsters in the game. It's a fun little distraction. I'm not interested in being seriously challenged by zombie invasions though. I want to look over my shoulder while I work at night, not spend seven minutes constantly swinging a sword.Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots -

maitaine posted a message on Since when is minecraft a constant onslaught of zombies?I haven't been back in my little minecraft world for a bit but when I heard about the updates with the horses I thought that sounded neat. So I patched and went into my game and entered into the zombie freaking apocalypse. I died four times trying to get back in time to get my armor and sword back. Then I decided to upgrade my door to an iron one once it was daylight. The zombies were burning and had disappeared from the door. So I knocked the wooden one off. A zombie appeared, in rainy daylight and brought his buddies. I dealt with them and a few spiders through the day also.Posted in: Recent Updates and Snapshots
I have to agree with the above sentiments. I play to build things and try to keep the zombies out. I don't want to play on creation mode but I don't want to play on the end of stevemanity as we know it mode either. =( A hard Level for those people with huge forts, fancy armor and lots of traps who find the game too easy would be a nice improvement and a normal level for the rest of us. -

mute00 posted a message on make pe like pcUnfortunately, its not that simple to just add in the content for MC:PE. Some things are also not possible...Posted in: MCPE: Suggestions
Infinite map size, for instance, takes up a lot of resource. While there may be some workaround, the chances of this happening are fairly slim on the limited performance of mobile devices.
Performance issues are the reason that the device for Nether items currently exist, for example.
However, more biomes wouldn't be too terribly difficult to fit in the game. I would also assume TNT to be a minimally easy project to be added to PE.
In short, though, PE will never be the same as PC while devices continue to underperform a full-sized platform. -

The terms "lets play" and "multiplayer" seem to be thrown around a lot too. I don't know why... -

Blue_Miner posted a message on 0.8.0 expectations. [updated 0.7.4] [0.7.4 RELEASED!]Posted in: MCPE: Recent & Upcoming PE UpdatesQuote from Milkman640
Bigger worlds, enchanting, enderman, squids, slimes, in game music, breeding, wolves, ocelots, jungle and ocean biomes, a way to mod, and redstone are all of the things that would be cool in the next ipdate. Hope this helps!
I don't think the devs will be that generous in one update.0.8.0 -

Perhaps they could implement a system where the mobs would slowly get progressively more difficult the further from the point of origin (0x,0y) you were.
That would be a horrible idea... why? Due the to fact that some seeds have you some thousands of blocks from 0x, 0z* (In minecraft its z not y), plus it would also make it a lot harder to do common stuff, like mine, since you would have boss like mobs trying to kill you. How is that fun?
Edit: But I do like the world gen stuff. It would be nice to see Mojang make minecraft have better terrain... - To post a comment, please login.

Consider listing some of the drinks so we can try it out? (I'd love to know what's in Cyan...)

Zombie Apocalypse Mode... I like it! Maybe it could be an unlockable option after you defeat the ender dragon in hardcore...? Anyway, awesome suggestion!
Has anyone else had problems with super-fast baby zombies being immune to sunlight?? I hope that's not a feature too...

2. Iron and leather are reasonably easy to get, but so are a lot of resources... and most of them have a recipe, however basic it might be. Who says recipes can't be more complicated? Why not craft a bridle and saddle separately then combine them to make it usable?
3. I'd rather explore than trade, but I don't mind paying for one. If I've got enough resources, it's a good option. Note: villager trades aren't infinite and you need to find a villager who has saddles to trade in the first place (most villagers I encounter just deal with meat, wheat and emeralds in various combinations of the three).
4. I want saddles removed from dungeons, especially if a recipe is implemented. I'd prefer one diamond, a few more gold ingots, a complete block of iron etc. (not all at once!)... something that feels like a bit more of a reward for the effort. Saddles feel like a common item, not a prize! I love exploring, but I'd make a bigger effort to fight my way through a dungeon if I thought I'd get something special out of it.
5. I agree, one saddle type IS enough.
6. Also a point I agree on, but I'm not that into servers. They're always over-crowded and some of them lag to the point that I just give up... so I can't really say if it's a fair long-term option for them.
I guess I'm kind of divided on this argument - if you go out looking for saddles, they're everywhere! but I'd rather craft them INSTEAD of finding them (with trade still being an option)
