Horses ONLY spawn in newly generated 1.6 chunks.

How many of you legitimately used pigs as a mode of transportation? Not many I would assume. It's just a gimmick, horses don't make them any less useful them they already were. If you were to try to actually fight mobs on a pig, it would end with you trying to both control you wandering pig with a carrot on a stick while also switching to your bow/sword and trying not to hit your pig, and then your pig dying from a skeleton. It would be entirely impractical.

I don't see how we can have every other type of barn animal, but you add a horse and everyone ****s themselves. Well, I do know, it's because it's a new mob. If it were one of the first 5 mobs added everyone would love it.

You could always set the daylight cycle to false and then have a clock running to add maybe 10 units every however often, so you can get the day and night cycles however long you want them. I'm not sure if the spawn chunks stay loaded in a single player world, so it probably wouldn't work if you go too far out.

Crashing isn't limited to Minecraft. Almost every program in existence crashes from time to time.

Your hunger will only decrease while doing actions such as walking, mining, fighting etc. At least for updates before this one.

Just to get inventory shortcuts out of the way:

• While holding a stack of items, hold left click while dragging to distribute the stack among every slot you drag over. Good for making furnaces, tools, item frames etc. in bulk.

• Hold right click while holding a stack of items to place one item in each slot you drag over

• Double click an item to combine all other stacks of the same item into one stack of possible.

• While you are holding an item, shift + double left click another item to move all other items of the same type to the other open inventory. (eg.) hold a block of cobble and shift + double click a stack of cobble in you inventory, and all cobble stacks will move into the chest if one is open.

• Hover over an item and press keys 1-9 to move it into that hotbar slot

The new launcher will in no way reduce piracy of the game. There are already cracked launchers for the new launcher, from what I've seen. It's also not as easy as clicking play offline, since you need to log in once to be able to play offline.

Honestly.

Go to your .minecraft folder.
look for "Saves".
Find the world you're using.
Find the folder DIM-1.
Delete it.
Done.

Pigs were never meant to be anything serious. They're practically useless since sprint jumping has always been faster than a pig with a carrot boost. They would need a serious buff to be anything outside of a joke.

I've never seen anyone, nor myself, find a reason to ride a pig aside from the novelty.
