I have the same problem with Fraps. It only happens when my color calibration software is active. It does the same thing with screenshots too. Taking the same screenshot internally with Minecraft yields normal colors.
I think there are enough options to create dispensers and boosters at the moment.
I would prefer if he spent time on carts, that Notch implement something to replace the booster glitch everyone's getting used to, similar to Minecart Mania.
Awhile ago I hosted 24+ players on 1.5GB dedicated RAM with no problems, even topped at 45 before, but there was a little noticeable strain there.
If I remember correctly, the rule of thumb:
1GB RAM = 15 slots with hmod / 20 slots vanilla
Of course it varies from this depending on your configuration and setup expertise :wink.gif:
The 2GB would work fine for 24 people if it's dedicated to your setup, but the 3GB gives you room to grow. The added processing from the 2GB server won't help you all that much.

Not true, you can create your obsidian. You only need a stone pickaxe to get iron ore, then use a bucket, lava, and water to create your gate.
Time consuming, and a mold needed, but not hard. Almost everything can be found on the surface

Every time I see your posts, I hear Carl Sagan's voice reading your words. Stop messing with my head! He's a genious.
I'm sure the admins have this covered, they seem to be really good at getting things done before disaster strikes.
