Strip-mine at layer 11, record is 18 diamonds in half an hour...

1. Bring at least 16 wooden planks for a crafting table and sticks in case you need new tools.
2. Use iron picks only if you have an abundant supply of iron.
3. Half a stack of torches at all times.
4. Bucket of water in case of lava.
5. Iron armor (if you have it) and iron sword.
6. TURN YOUR SOUND UP

Just wondering, when did this update happen? Because in Beta 1.8.1, I found villages but there wasn't a chest inside the blacksmith house, so it's between the 1.9 prereleases and 1.0 right?

So, I've noticed that in NPC villages, in the blacksmith's house (the house with lava and two furnaces outside of it) inside is a chest containing armor, gold ingots, bread, and saplings.
I think this was put in the 1.0 or 1.1 update, though I'm not sure.
Use the seed "gimmeabreak" and check the chest yourself :wink.gif: it will help you survive your first night xD

It's not anything special, just pretty rare. Be happy, because there's an 1/8 chance that a thrown egg will spawn a chicken. You got 4 of em :tongue.gif:

annoying skeletons. 2 or more are dangerous when you have no armor and no bow, but mostly they are just a pain in the neck.

I generally like to gather some wood first, then set out to find plains located close to a forest and build a huge house there, so that I won't run out of wood. If i'm lazy and I find an NPC village, I steal the biggest house there :tongue.gif:

Nice chest, I notice that you also have 2 redstone ore and 8 coal ore, which, if I'm not mistaken, means that you have killed enough mobs to get to lvl 25, and acquire Silk Touch. You also have 33 moss stone, which means you've found one or two dungeons (even though that's not TOO impressive xD)
9 stacks of slime-balls... just wondering how much time did you put into this world?

I love your mods, Risugami, even though they are pretty simple, ModLoader and AudioMod are both essentials for many mods. Armor stand and shelves are also nice decorations :biggrin.gif:

My favorite thing to do? Definitely exploring mineshafts and caves. the idea of finding ores is thrilling to me, and chests even more so. Building a creative house and furnishing is one of the things i like to do :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:
