    Yeah, that's the problem. The same thing happened to me before in R83 when a zombie got inside of my cow farm and killed ~50--60 cows and I got like 6 stacks of meat after the zombie burned to death. It is kind of unrealistic that they have a black hole in their stomach. By the way, anything(mob) that gives the player potion effect probably needs some change (except for slimes, shadows and squids). In real life, snakes can only hold a certain amount of venom inside of their body (same for skunks), which regenerates over time after used. That was also the reason why some people were "fine" after receiving a snake bite (because the snake does not want to waste venom on random travelers). However, MITE spiders and gouhls can poison the player over and over and the players sometimes have diffcaulities leaving spawn / recovering their gear after being killed.

    I think those mobs need to have a "venom counter", for example, a tiny wood spider could spawn with 5 points of venom and generate more over time. Just incase a gouhl camps a player's loot or a spider camps the player's spawn.

    I don't think there has to be "any" requirements, because if the player does not have a war hammer/pick, there is nothing they can get from those villages (mostly trash by any ways). Since none of the villagers were friendly, villages can nolonger provide shelters for players. Even if a player were to spawn in the middle of a village, they can get nothing out of it except for death.


    Just make sure no villages can generate at the player's spawn.


    As well, maybe villages with alive people only generates after the player has met some requirements.

    yeah, it is not a very good idea to build houses in MITE. But there are minor problems with most shelters, both long term and short term. Will be shown in the next animation. Sorry about not uploading as often because I was busy with school.

    Coal is unheard of at lava depths and below anyway, and that is logical to some point: at lava layer, things are so hot, any coal exposed to air would just burn away. Even more so a coal block. which is pure coal without any stone to slow the combustion down.


    I'd simply just adjust the frequency of Coal veins that way:


    - Spawns down to right above the lava layer, instead of only mostly quite near the surface;


    - Also spawns in the Underworld in just-sufficient amounts to fully light the place up;


    - More Coal in loot chests. Both Coal, Charcoal, and Coal blocks, all added to the loot list as common loot. Yep even the Coal blocks. It's not as if 9 Coal is that huge of a treasure anyway: 9 coal is about half what a Coal vein has, thus this is quite comparable to finding a stack of ingots in a loot chests. Heck, most ore veins are way rarer than Coal veins, so it's not even comparable as loot even then.


    Or just make monsters spawn only at light level 5 or less instead of 7 or less, thus saving up on a lot of torches, as that means you an space them a few more blocks apart.


    Heck, I'd even prefer the torch recipe yielding only 2 torches at a time, if that means we need to place only half as many torches down when mining. Maybe with mobs spawning at Sky light level 7 or less OR Torch light level 2 or less. No reason why both values need to be the same. Heck, Full Moons give more light (well, they appear brighter anyway) yet they are accompanied with an increase in mobs, so there is a precedent here. The side benefit of having less torches is that the tunnels would look much darker and "ominous".


    Also, maybe contact with lava could put Coal Ore on fire, burning itself into a cobblestone block afterward.


    Yeah... maybe coal blocks shouldn't spawn as low as lava level but don't coal in real life "generates" in large pockets? I would recommend increasing the size of veins.

    Maybe coal veins below y=16 should contain coal blocks as well as normal coal ore?
