Wow! Thanks a bunch. Very surprised you made it. It is very cool that you are on the cutting edge like this. Reminds me of simpler times in MC history before all the huge mods.
I have played a lot of SSP, and am a bit sick of being alone for hours at a time. I would like to find a stable, long-term, populated vanilla server to sit back and build some nice building and farms in with others. This looks like a great place to do that.
Why do you enjoy playing Vanilla survival:
Mostly for the building and "feel" of it. Modded is great, but vanilla has a weight and play value too it, and the server's are in general much better for vanilla than modded. I enjoy building structures mainly, and setting up aesthetic farms.
Are you able to provide a few screenshots of your builds in survival?:
Sure, my most recent SSP I have played for 100+ hours on recently-
The new model system makes pipes impossible, Buildcraft pipe model Jsons for instance would take up more data than the whole world could store in the 21st century. Pedabytes of data. That is why major mods are not updating.
Thank you for the reply. Will any quad shape work or do edges have to be in straight lines? I will be on 1.7.10 for the foreseeable future, or until everyone else moves over. How do you export your models?
I have been using blender for 5+ years, and starting to learn Java and modding. In the long run will it be possible to use blender models in mods, and if so what are the limitations. I am assuming all models have to be made of square like shapes or planes, from what models I have seen. I would like to know now so I can begin work on models early. Thanks!
The thing is "most" big mods are not going to 1.8. Thus "most" serious players and modpacks are remaining on 1.7.10. Look at a 1.8 modlist. It is pathetic so far. I feel the updates would be better spent on 1.7. After all no one is going to play with only Jurrasicraft and some weird random mods for 1.8. Even Waila is still buggy in 1.8. We are not going to see large tech, magic, or utility mods in 1.8 any time soon. It's just disappointing to miss out on updates for that long. 1.7.10 is not going to die for a while yet, and of anything 1.8 is currently "dead" until more mods update to it. Also what is even the point? Et futurem brings all the 1.8 features back, and fast-craft optimizes the game just as well.
Sad to see you are moving to 1.8. Most of the modding community is staying on 1.7.10 for the perceivable future. Maybe take a poll and see who would play which version?

I think this is very cool, exactly what I wanted for my 1.9 world actually. Keep up the good work!
Edit: This seems to be broken in the latest snapshot could you update it?

Would a mob-spawner moving item be possible? Works great so far, thanks for the hard work Fyber!

Would it be possible with this to make a small mod to make tnt drop all the blown up items? Blast mining is calling to me...

Why are you applying to join The Bogan Hunters?:

How many hours played do you have on your SSP (survival single player) world?:
On my current worlds easily 200+ or more, overall way more than I would ever admit, on the internet or otherwise.
Are you able to use Skype group chat regularly?:
Definitely, I have a Blue Yeti mic for just that.
What other games do you play?:
Mostly MC modded and vannila, but occasionally Ark as well.
What is your IGN?:
PhoenixSmith
Is there anything you would like to ask me (optional)?:
Are you planning on keeping this up for the foreseeable future? (I would definitely assume so, just would like to make 100% sure.)

Possibly depends on forge fixing it's issues and Thermal Expansion and such actually being "able" to even update.

Meh, 1.8 is still not really "the" modded central. All modpacks, most players, etc are still on 1.7.10. For good reason...

Very nice, thank you for the info. Happy I don't have to learn Techne or such.
