Just a few things I've noticed:
Smooth Lighting causes a crash when changed on main page via options.
Multiple different lighting failures in the game.
Mountain range is notable bigger than other biomes, a bit overpowering.
Some NPC villages have a stone house that spawns 1 block too low, causing the door to be 1 block high (Confirm this is a bug?)
Friendly mob generator a bit too high? (I saw 16 pigs on my screen 20 blocks from my spawn)
F3 is no longer debug mode, so you can't see mob IDs. (Good call Mojang)
Cloud height raised (No longer floats through buildings, another great change)
So far it's a nice update, still working on reviewing it. Can't wait to Youtube this.

It's under a swamp biome, so technically it's considered in a spawn biome.

Hopefully there's more of a structured system instead of massive animal spawning.

Halloween update was bigger than 1.8, in my opinion. That added an entire new world to Minecraft, not just changes like mineshafts and strongholds.
But seriously, back on the topic of breeding. If you want to discuss this, send me a PM >_>

Most bugs found in pre-release 1.8 are still in official 1.8.
My god, it's an army of Mojang Fanboys!

1 Biome code - Not blending well.
2) Hunger Bar - I'll give you that, even though I hate it.
3) Experience - Which has no use yet.
4) Strongholds - Which are usually cut in half by ravines and mineshafts.
5) Villages - Which still are in a WIP after 3 months.
6) Mineshafts - I'll give you this one too, works great.
7) Ravines - Same as above.
8) World Height - No, he made it easier, but there was always the ability to.
Personally, some of his additions are great, and some suck. But three months, you'd think we'd have a few bug-free features. Let's just hope Breeding isn't another side-job that gets done half way and ignored for 3 months.

2 1/2 months to add a few mobs, and a few new blocks.

Nope, no sarcasm, I was for serious this time.

It's not better than water spreading races.

It's what I'm calling the current breeding system. You feed them, they make babies. Yay.
