Hello minecraftians. Many of you may know the mod minecolony. I like the idea, but i hate mods. Another thing I like are snow golems. I use them to gather snow. One day, while harvesting the snow, I thought. It would be cool if instead of me harvesting his resources, he harvests resources for me! So I started brainstorming ideas for how this could be incorporated into the game. Then I thought of iron, lapis, gold, obsidian, and diamond golems, currently useless blocks (asides from decorative purposes) that are rare. so you'd replace snow blocks with those blocks. Once you made a servant golem, it would follow you and do nothing else at all except throw items you give it like dirt, sand, wheat, etc., back to you, unless you give it a tool, give it a shovel and it'll harvest dirt (that you haven’t placed) until the shovel breaks, axe=wood, pick=ores and cobble. Mobs attack servant golems in self defense (mobs ignore them unless attacked first). Once it runs out of all given tools, it teleports to the player, throws items at them, and awaits the next tool. Seeing a pattern? It gives back what it can’t use when it has no tool and is near the player. They have infinite inventory aside from tools, but limited tool stock. Iron= 1 tool, lapis= 2 tools, gold= 3 tools, obsidian= 4 tools, diamond= 5 tools. Give them a sword and they'll wander within a certain range of you protecting you, same with the bow. The bow is useful because if you give them arrows, they can kill skeletons and restock. They’ll use their items in the order they're given. I dunno, I like the idea, give me some feedback. If you could fly to the aether, it would have to be in the sky in the overworld all the time. And if blocks could be placed that high, you could just make a pole with a ladder to get to the aether, and such a method would let you mine out the bottom of the aether for valuables. Not good. Beats a portal, but I thought the sky dimension was going to be accessible via dreams.
I dont know about you guys, but I find it kind of annoying that Notch is turning a realistic survival game into a fantasy game. I'm fine with what he's done so far, but he might be crossing the line with this one
i dont know about you guys, but I REALLY dont want to hatch an enderdragon. Have you seen what it does to blocks it cant pass through? I dont want to remake my house out of endstone or obsidian to prevent it from being destroyed
Maybe you could mine some sort of life jewel which would be VERY rare. with it selected, you could right click some types of blocks to create utility mobs. for example, the dragon egg would become a baby enderdragon. You may think this idea is stupid, but I think this would add a lot of fun to my worlds
Maybe you could make the blaze rod a weapon like the stick but with more uses (because it's WAY harder to get a blaze rod) but it sets other soldiers on fire, but it would detonate explosive soldiers. And blaze powder could be thrown like redstone but would last half as long as a blaze rod and would have all the properties as a blaze rod :biggrin.gif:
