I always know immediately when a new Minecraft version is released because my mailbox gets flooded by people inquiring about the next update. I read them but don't typically respond to them simply because there are so many, but just so you guys know, I'm expecting to be able to create and release the update this Saturday. Hang in there! :wink.gif:
LOVE these.
It is unrealistic how the sound happens instantly though, sucks that delays cause lag on your PC :\
Also, it would be neat if the rain was a little bit louder.

well having no shaders installed still causes the issue so im guessing its the mod itself and in its early stages it did not cause this at all, so its not notch or the shaders =/ (why would it be notch XD)
I was referring to:
"If we had an attribute or symbol definition (like the texture one) that indicated when lighting was to be enabled lighting could easily be included."
if you will be updating to 1.5 could you please fix the shadowing on entities, since for some reason they look very bright and look awful thanks.
It's up to shaders to fix this. However, currently there's no good way to detect when the geometry being rendered should be lit or not. I have a shader that sort of fixes this but it's a hack and makes particle effects flicker. If we had an attribute or symbol definition (like the texture one) that indicated when lighting was to be enabled lighting could easily be included.
Sorry, I'm confused. Is this something dax needs to add? Or Notch?
1.The textures were intentionally built to be dark for added realism. It also shies people away from trying to always work in the dark. It's damn near impossible in real life.
I agree, and I like the art direction there... but the darkness of the dirt makes it hard to work inside of it (like, for instance, underground) even in daytime and with torches.
Idk. Just kinda annoying.
Also, you should post the rain in the OP so blind people stop posting about it.
It won't completely stop them, but it'd make a big dent.
The Rain for this version is WAAAY to dense, i cant see anything when its raining, it adds a cool effect, but i litterly cant see 3 feet infront of my face, might consider changing it :S

No offense, but people with such extreme hearing problems shouldn't make videos showing off sound.

Why would you post a video for sound, yet only put the sound at 20%? Makes no sense... :\

Used the Tectonicus render-er.
Came out surprisingly well, thought it would come out all shitty with HD Texture Packs. I was wrong.

Yeah, exactly what I said. It is quite a bit low.

The issue is -NOT- with the texture pack.
The issue is the patcher.
