Androids do kick ass. Minimal consequences for overclocking, I hope?
In theory, assuming this Stress Test passes, there shouldn't be any consequences.
Maybe shave a few days off of it's overall life...
Worth it.
It all depends on the device though, different devices OC differently. :tongue.gif:
They got my phone to 2.0GHz, but I don't think that was particularly stable.
I think you can go up to like 1.45GHz while being stable...
I'm trying to see how far I can go while undervolted.
EDIT: 1.25GHz is as far as I can go while undervolted.
However maybe I can lower the volts further!
Has anyone ever clicked the number next to "replies" in the forum? It shows who and how many posts they have in this thread. Besides me, Phantom is in the lead for posts. =)
Must... catch... up...
Will start by posting this:
By overclocking my phone's CPU up 50MHz I jumped from
TO
This is related to Minecraft because I could probably run MC on my phone :biggrin.gif:
I miss the SIMG from the old forum :sad.gif:
I'm also under volted from stock...
Debating on trying another 50MHz...
Not sure if I'm going to be able to, already went up 250MHz...
Will try after stress test finishes.
The more testers Scuttle's has the harder it's going to be to contact them all and make sure we are all on the latest version...
So everyone and their grandmother asking to beta test it isn't going to work.
I would say post your HONEST specs, and if they can definitely run the pack no problem you MIGHT get picked, at Scuttle's discretion.
Not that I would say it's particularly hard to run.
Same requirements CPU/GPU wise as the 256x256, but it CAN require a bit more RAM.
64-bit OS and 64-bit Java is a must.
Wow, 512x eats up the RAM like a starving fat guy. I have to make a batch file to allocate more RAM to minecraft.
The batch file: java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
It takes from 1400MB to over 2000MB! 0_0 Here is some screenshots. The fps drop of using 512x is small, only around 30.
My game never exceeds 1GB :S
It tends to hover around 420MB, but gets to like 950 if I'm standing in one spot.
So I experience no FPS loss with 512x512, but it takes much longer to load.
Bad screenshots, tons of grain, will have better screenshots in 9 days when I get mah new hard drives
Gives Scuttles plenty of time to work on it :tongue.gif:
No way you can run it with a super computer... why would you even bother asking?
Chuck Norris can't run it, so why would you be able to with your super computer?
Curious if my com will be able to run 512x. Do you think a 2gb graphics card with 8gbs memory and quad core i7 will be able to run 512x? Excited to see how it goes.

Jesus Christ, mother****ers need to stop quoting the main page.

Milestone Overclock...
I think that only works for Milestones and Droids though...
Different applications for different phones, not sure if you can do it on iPhones, but Android FTW.

Uh huh.
I have 24TB of RAM and an Intel Over9000X.
Beat that.

Ah okay.
Well I say Optifog is the better option to MCPatcher unless you are using GLSL...
I dare not try it with GLSL until I get the hard drives.
Imagine this with bumpmapping O.O

I was thinking it was more-so related to -xincgc :tongue.gif:

I'm also using Optifog.

Notch moved it passed 11/11/11 because he couldn't get anything booked for MCCon that week...
Cuz I'm the boss.
Bosses are odd...8-)

I was debating on joking to Scuttles to do a huge GTA IV Enhanced Texture pack... :tongue.gif:
I can see him taking on Better City Textures XD
