BALLZ! My minecraft.jar is a folder cuz I have installed mods (i use a effing mac) so, (IT IS CALLED "minecraft.jar") and i cant select it cuz your effing patcher doesn't work too well with a Mac… COME ON!!!! HELP
And if anyone asks why i use a mac, well cuz, it like over 9000! times better than a crappy windows… OH YEAH, I HAVE 4GB OF RAM!!!! HOW MUCH DOES YOUR WINDOWS HAVE, HUH, 0.5GB YEAH WELL TOO BAD
Sorry for my rampage… i jjust hate windows…
My windows 7 x64 PC has 9GB of RAM, and that 9GB of RAM was cheaper than your 4GB.
Faster than your RAM too, most likely.
Windows is an Operating System, the only affect it has on your RAM is if you have 32-bit, in which case you are limited to 3GB.

Not one component of your computer is even close to as good as mine. Macs are overpriced, and their hardware is mid-range at best. No one was attacking you because you used a Mac, but if you want to attack Windows expect to be corrected.
1) Install modloader
2) copy contents of glsl_unofficial_166_ml.zip to minecraft.jar
After the mojang splash the game just shows the menu background for a few seconds, there's a flash (looks like an error log but it doesn't show it for more than a second) and then I get a black screen. Basically as soon as I copy the patched glsl files **** hits the fan :/
Edit:
I managed to get the error log by running it in the test mode of mcpatcher:

Is this without any other mods except for GLSL + Modloader?
Your client IS updated to 1.6.6 as well?
You have the legit, purchased version from minecraft.net?
Ive downloaded the 1xx version of this pack, the textures seem to be working correctly, but for weapons ingame I have white boxes ? How do I fix that ?
1xx? Huh?
Download the latest version, and try the compressed one.
I just used this for the first time, and a minecraft-1.6.6.jar exists in my bin folder now. What is it? Do I need to install mods in both this new .jar and the actual minecraft.jar? I really wish the OP explained what exactly this program does. I'd much rather alter/replace files myself than not know what has actually been changed.
That jar is a backup of the original jar...
Or the jar that you had before you opened the patcher.
Stuff like this doesn't need to be explained in the OP, because it's quite obvious :S
What is the 6th axe on the .zip file under gui/ items? I've never seen it before in-game. It's the one after the gold axe. And it look nothing like the other axes, but it does look like an axe. Please answer
Huh? I only see 5 axes...
Wood, stone, iron, diamond, and gold.

Ah, okay.
Thanks for correcting me :smile.gif:
He has a problem then... my game is modded to hell and I don't get 1.3GB of RAM usage .____.
You mean for the building?

I do believe it's kilobits, and not kilobytes...
I could be wrong though...

(Obviously use the 32bit version if you have 32bit Windows)

I do believe most MMOs are more CPU intensive than they are RAM.
My MC client uses like 700-900MB...
0
That's only 169MB

Can you login if you unpatch?

Question, will there ever be support for WildGrass+WildVines+WildLillies?
I do apologize if this has been requested before.

...Which isn't compatible with MCPatcher?
0
That's due to the lack of texture filtering.
GLSL Shader's Anti-Aliasing and/or Mipmapping can be used to fix this issue.
