Yeah lets make another thread about Youtubers, or Youtuber skins, or how stupid Youtubers are, or how Youtuber fans are annoying, until every other thread in this whole section is about Youtubers and not about minecraft?

We can just change the name of the forum section to Youtube discussion and it will all be good... :(

I find threads like these just about as annoying as the people they complain about. =\

It most certainly should. Soon you won't be able buy a computer that isn't loaded with Windows 8.

posted a message on So... Whos KILLED the ENDER DRAGON?
    Oh, I've beat it.

It really isn't too hard of a battle, Although you might die a few times. I'd suggest stocking up on a bunch of arrows and the best armor you can find before running in there to fight it. The arrows make it especially easy to destroy the ender crystals.

If you're bad at not looking at endermen, wear a pumpkin.

Avoid having the dragon run into you. The contact damage cant be too bad, but he might send you flying in the air, which can easily kill you. On that note stay away from the edges. The last thing you want is for the dragon to throw you off in to the void. ;P

Build a nice, cozy cottage. Nothing too big, I'm thinking, but something nice you'll be able to relax with for a while. You should also try and experiment with elaborate designs that you haven't tried before. It'll make the experience more fun and unique! ;D

If the tnt falls into a water current or source block, it won't do any structural damage, but it will still hurt mobs, so that's probably your best bet. If that's not an option, try using half slabs - Explosions that happen within a block have a much smaller explosion effect.

I tend to attack mostly with my sword, but if I can weaken my enemy with a bow with a few shots before they get to me, I'll definitely take the chance.

posted a message on [CTM] [1000+ Downloads] Land of Lost Wool! Traps! Mobs! Diamonds! Epicness!

Hello everyone. I've just finished my new, first, CTM map inspired by Vechs' popular
"Super Hostile" series of CTM maps. Like any CTM map, it contains 16 boxes with chests full of different colors of wool, which your goal is to take to the Victory Monument, along with a Iron, Gold, And Diamond Block.

The map is set in a massive desert. When you begin your adventure you will immediately witness many of the dungeons keeping their wool safe within. From sandstone mountains, to massive dark clouds, and huge mossy towers, each offers a unique challenge trying to push minecraft into murdering you over and over again. But should you try hard hard enough, and explore far enough, you will eventually seek out, recover, and take each color of wool back to the Victory Monument. This is the atmosphere I hope to create when you play my map.

Although it has been created for CTM gameplay, this map may also be used as a survival map. In terms of difficulty, my map is actually probably not as hard as the average Super Hostile map by Vechs, but it provides a challenge none the less.
Oh, and comments are much appreciated!

posted a message on Infinite lava source?
It can't be made infinite anymore, unfortunately. But if you ask me lava isn't so hard to come by if you find a nice lava lake underground - Or for massive projects, the nether works fine. ;P

I understand that it would be nice to have infinite lava without traveling from your base... Oh well.

posted a message on Endermen and Ender Pearls
Endermen are rare mobs, as you know, and can be quite hard to come by. But with basic knowledge of their spawning it's not hard to figure where they'll spawn.
For starters, they need darkness, they need a 3-block tall space, and they need to be within the spawning cap. You can't do much about the last issue, but the first 2 can easily be solved by waiting until nighttime, and heading out to any open area like a desert or plains biome.

Preferably you could even do this near your mine, where the majority of caves are lit up, which encourages spawning on the surface rather than underground.

..did not know that.. Hmmm, second question:

will 0,0 in the over world be 0,0 in the nether?

Not exactly - The terrain on both the overworld and the nether isn't flat, obviously - But it'll get you as close as it can, so it will be pretty accurate.
If you're going to build the nether shortcut, I'd recommend adding a rail line too in order to shorten the length of your trip back and forth even more. Rail lines are rescource intensive, but once you're finished it's very satisfying to finally put it to use!
