The City of Gentlemen is nearing completion and while this is an occasion for celebration it brings to mind a very important question. what will our next project or theme be? I would like the input of you fine gentlemen as to what you would like to see our community construct next. I was thinking of a heaven and hell theme, or perhaps steampunk. Although I believe steampunk would be a rather difficult genre to recreate in minecraft I'm sure we are able enough. If you do not know what steampunk is I would recommend you look it up on the internet.

Indeed the debate was getting quite out of control and it is nice to have a proper end to it. Although I hope you will not mind me defending my own image with the simple nay-saying of GeneralGuy's statement concerning me. It is rude to make personal remarks good sir, that is all.
I just don't get Peroggi. He claims to be a gentleman, but is not. Becuase every gentleman loves nazis and likes to represent roflcopters and 9/11.

Now to the final point; high culture varies depending on which culture a gentleman comes from. High culture may mean something very different to someone from France than to someone from the United States. But really I do not think it is necessary to ponder over the true definition of a gentleman here.
Indeed I realized you continued to post for the sole purpose of "trolling" although from my perspective it appears you are the victim of the aforementioned lulz. You very futilely attempted to cast the Gentleman's Server in a bad light with your one sentence quips; while I debunked every one with eloquently structured posts. I myself take a rather fiendish delight in seeing all the controversy I have stirred up with a few idle keystrokes.
As for you AlexVMiner I would like to direct to me previous post which expounds very clearly that what a gentlemen does or does not like is irrelevant. It is how the gentlemen carries on with these beliefs and conducts himself. Gentlemen can have a variety of tastes and beliefs but what really makes the gentleman is his high culture, eloquence, and respect, among other things I'm sure.
Not ONLY that AlexVMiner, but if you would care to read the rest of the posts you would realize that collectively, the server does not SUPPORT any of the things you mention, we just tolerate them. Please do brush up on your knowledge of this matter before you post haphazardly and make a fool of yourself.
I think you read my post wrong. There is no case for one group being superior than the other based of race, or physical traits.
The difference between the idiot caller and the censored caller is that the censor caller had a legitimate, and rational point, vs the idiot.
While letting the nazi's express their political views like socialism is okay, allowing their irrational racism is not.
Except that really it's just a building in the level with a swastika on it, there is no evil foreboding bastion of white power on our server. Neither Nazi political views or their views on race are represented. Just an idle nod to their existence and the topic's power to stir up controversy, as apparent by previous posts in this thread.
A gentlemen is not made by his beliefs and opinions, but rather how he conducts himself while expressing them. For instance a Christian could be a gentlemen if they politely discuss their beliefs in a mutually respective manner. However if they are of the bible-thumping rather fascist variety they can definitely not be labeled gentlemen.
Just in case you decide to bring up the rather irrelevant point that Christians are more "rational" than Nazi's (I would disagree on this point anyway), some Christians have extremely irrational views toward the homosexual community that is not a good deal different from the Nazi's views on the Jewish community.
You made a VERY good point mail2345, a point which agrees with our ideologies, not works against them. By allowing the representation of Nazi's we are most certainly not bigots, we are tolerating other cultures.
Unless you can provide some valid points as to what makes this or that a bad thing I would appreciate it if would not continuously, and senselessly, spew insults with, in my opinion, the sole purpose of making this fine server look bad.
If you are indeed trying to cause me (you said "them" but it is just me here actually) grief or try to slander my server into a bad reputation I must say you are doing a poor job.

It is not as if these Nazi's were complete barbarians, Adolf Hitler had some very solid points on the short comings of the parliamentary system and we can indeed learn from SOME aspects of this culture. It is most ignorant of you to reject all aspects of a culture due to negative reputation and one rather disturbing shade of it. Even the examination of this racial superiority ideology can help us better understand their motives and, perhaps, prevent something of the sort happening again.
I do wish you would not generalize cultures so much sir, it is most disrespectful.
