Um i just started using Mcskin3d and uploaded my skin, yet whenever i try to upload the same skin it wont work again in case if I changed it. When ever i try to re-upload it it says "skin uploaded successfully" yet whenever i go back into Minecraft its not showing so am i doing something wrong?

Did you restart Minecraft? You have to completely shut down and re-open the game for the change to take effect.

    Hey guys,

For those of you not too busy to peel away from Minecraft 1.0.0 (myself included), MCSkin3D 1.3 will be released later today, so keep an eye out!

lol i actually edited Steve, but it was by accident xDAlso this automatic skin uploader feature is neat. I hope people wont be afraid of it just because it ask password and username... it's more convinient then minecraft.net profile!

Ah alright! Read my reply a few down here.

I got an idea. Would'nt it be usefull if you had the picture of the person or thing you're gonna make inside the program rather than switching back and forth with the browser and MCSkin3D? And when you had the picture in the program you could use the colour picker to find the colour of the persons skin, clothes, etc, without guessing or paste it in paint.net and then see the colour RGB? :S

Yeah, a few people have suggested this, we'll see what we can do.

    Quote from stuntninja32

very easy to use (maybe you can do brush sizes too) btw how do i know that you wont steal my account from the auto upload option (just wondering im not accusing)

Brush sizes are planned. Well, for one, I'm not the only programmer working on this project (there are four of us), and to think that all four of us have created this to steal passwords is a bit odd. For two, the project is completely open source, and you can compile it yourself on Windows using the free Visual C# Express 2010 program: http://code.google.com/p/mcskin3d If you peek around the upload stuff, as well as the settings, the only place I ever send data to is minecraft.net; it is sent using a secure HTTPS connection. The password is indeed saved locally in settings.ini, however it is encrypted using salts and seeds which are gathered from local information on your system (Account and user name, nothing more), so even if you do accidentally send your settings.ini to someone, they cannot derive your password from it unless they were physically on your computer (or somehow knew your account/username on Windows).

Idea: armor and mob editing, too! (perhaps even a text-based, code-type way to let modders add their mobs to this, for example, in the .zip, a text file with a .mob extension, that can be opened by this, which adds the mob to the program for that person. Maybe even include some of the more popular mod mobs in the program by default!)P.S., click if you support this idea!

Armor and mob skinning is planned! 1.3 will have a very strict version of the model format (which advanced users could edit if they wish), but it won't be until 1.4 where a user-friendly method will be available to use different mob textures, etc.

16-bit please! My computer just got a downgrade since the old video card shorted out.

Sorry, it's not supported at the time. The method I use for color picking requires at least 24 usable bits to properly function, and GL wouldn't be able to properly render alpha :sad.gif:

It would be a huge step backwards to try to work towards 16/24-bit support, so at the moment it's very low priority.

Looks brill but having a bit of trouble installing the thing.I put the zip/rar into a folder and extract the contents. When I extract it, the MCSkin3D.exe doesnt appear to have extracted as it it isnt in the new folder. If i try and run the MCSkin3D.exe from inside the zip/rar i get this: ! Cannot execute "C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\Rar$EX64.120\MCSkin3D.exe"If i try and move the file manually from the folder I get this: ! C:\Users\Desktop\MCSkin3D_v_1_2.rar: No files to extractHelp me plz cus I really want to use thisThanks all

It must not of extracted properly. You can try the zip version if you have issues. You can't run the exe from inside the rar. Try right-clicking the rar and going "Extract Here".

What version of Windows are you running?

This is the best skineditor I ever have tried! It is sooooo easy to use! With this program i can actually make a skin that looks like something.I am looking foward to see what updates you are going to make, I think this will be the NO.1 used skineditor, but you still got a long way to go before that will happen.I give this program :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: out of 10. KEEP WORKING!BYYYEEEE :biggrin.gif:

    Thanks for the kind words!

You should make it so when u have the mac version almost ready, release a beta or something like that. That way u can fine bugs with out releasing a buggy final version. :biggrin.gif:

We will. I usually only deal with betas/alpha internally with testers, and the finals get released to the public, but it's impossible to avoid all bugs!

I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoy this. I usually have allot of skins that I like to juggle around with (except for on my laptop, which is what I'm on right now) and this REALLY helps me out. Plus, I've always liked making my own skins. So, for me, its a win win.

Just you wait for 1.3: you'll love what I came up with for skin management :smile.gif:
