Seriously.. if Microsoft, who bought Minecraft a while back, has yet to add their app store crap or force their stuff in us PC players faces then why are you and Twitch doing just that? This is a simple question, theres no "I can't awnser that" response to it... why? It should be optional since there literally no good reason to merge unless you stream or use Twitch alot. I never use Twitch, sure I have an account and was able to merge but I will NEVER use the account after today for anything. As matter of fact I was literally glaring at my screen while merging since the "merge wall" cut me off while I was in the middle of scrolling through thread pages.. made me forget what I was doing thanks to my crap memory. That's annoying like you wouldn't beileve and made me even more against this merge stuff.
My Twitch account was sitting for years unused, why in gods name did you force me to dig up the password just to continue using this account ive had for even longer? Why would you willingly shoot yourselves in the foot and throw the site to the metaphorical dogs?
...guess since you're also ignoring the outcry from users there isn't much any of us can do but sit back and wait until the fireworks die down. Should be interesting to watch I guess

Well, the homepage is completely offline so the open alpha is impossible to download.. so that's a thing I guess.
Just learned it went open alpha today so kinda disappointed

Is the download link dead? I tried skpping the adfly page( My computers security outright blocks the site from even loading for safety purposes since its a virus nest ) using various decrypters and firefox plugins but always wind up with a mangled or non-working link
...even your twitter and youtube links are behind adfly redirects. Thats just plain scummy on a level I can't even describe.

Is it possible to use hex color codes when configuring the x-ray blocks for the mod? Im not sure what format it's using for the colors right now since both RGB and decimal give me completely different colors to what I set with those.

To those looking for a update alternative I figured I would leave this here:
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/up-and-down-and-all-around
It lacks quite a bit of what star miner had but for those like me it does what I want - allows players to play in non-downwards gravity. Can't tell you how hyped I was to finally, after years of them being shelved, pull out my old GravityCraft designs for my survival playthroughs on 1.10.2 and 1.11.2.
Some examples of what I made for a general idea:

Should be interesting in general for everyone since alot of the builds were Gulliver based like peoples tiny holes or giant houses.
The x8 houses are big enough to fit at least 10 players in a single one with even the basic ones xD

Anyway to get the dev build without joining the Discord? If I did join I would just leave again and I feel that would be kind of rude. I already have too many servers im in to keep track of with my rodent grade attention span so I would really like to avoid adding another if possible D:

Only got one question ive been wondering for a while now. If pixel powers 2 is eternally stuck in limbo wouldn't it be quicker/easier to directly port pixel powers 1 to either 1.7.10, 1.10.2, or 1.11.2? That alone would keep fans of pixel powers occupied until you have 2 ready to go even if its a slightly buggy direct port... you know what they say - something, even if its junk, is better then nothing. Its already abundantly clear that no one will port it for whatever reason and you guys already know your own source so you would have the best bet anyways for a semi-stable port.
Im just curious so don't take this as a "port it you fools!" type of post xD

I just now heard that server died( haven't been on the forums in a while ) but thought it was a joke until I dropped by here. Kinda shocking in all honesty but I completely agree with the reasons for dropping gulliver. To be honest I haven't been back on the server in forever due to that very reason: the launcher fighting me all the way when installing gulliver after reinstalling windows. You probably remember me as InsanityPie892 before I changed my name a while back.
On another note is there anywhere players can download the map?
0
Never heard of setting up a server from a client jar before, thought that was impossible. How does that work? Then again if you mean LAN worlds those weren't added until after 1.2.5 since 1.2.5 has no LAN options at all
Edit:
I honest to god can't beileve that actually worked. I was googling for a working ModloaderMP download but the only one was a scam site so I thought "maybe wayback machine still has it saved".
Turns out it does, just put the dropbox download link in and clicked back into the past years until it worked.
Now to see if GravityCraft can be used with it to make a serverEdit2:
Well that sucks. Apparently GravityCraft doesn't want to work with ModloaderMP at all.. its a Modloader only mod, and its incompatible with the only way to play multiplayer with Modloader mods( that im aware of ).
That's pretty depressing in all honesty
0
Not modloader itself, ModloaderMP is the one gone. I can use modloader just fine/download it but apparently it doesn't work at all with 1.2.5 server jar file but the client jar just fine for some reason. Maybe im just doing it wrong but can't fine any modloader instructions for server setups and I can't remember if I did in the past since its been years since I even bothered to download it again
0
Definatly a longshot but I literally can't find anything about the topic and ModloaderMP is not only completely dead( unsuprising considering how outdated it was ) but it turns out the only download links for it are also dead now so not even google can help me find it now.
Which brings me to the main question: How in the world do I setup a gravitycraft server on 1.2.5? At this point of pulling my hair out and swearing like a sailor im thinking its not even possible which if thats the case then my plans to go back to playing it just went out the window.
Considering it is forever trapped on 1.2.5 and not being worked on at all it would be super depressing if we players can't even SMP with it.
Also side note, would of asked this on the official thread but there's a pretty obvious problem with doing that so sorry for asking here xD

Hey stevekung, I just noticed that galacticraft has 1.10 and 1.11 versions. Planning to update for those?
Just curious since they look to be beta and most mod addons don't update until stable release

I put exactly that in the lang file but it never works for some reason. Theres also the evolution method, anyway I can make a pokemon evolve in a different mods biomes similar to other location based ones?

Late reply( busy being sick ), ill probably work on trying to make textures for the other balls later when I get the chance.
Noticed it was mentioned already but with further testing ive noticed a couple things about the current pokeplayer bugs, maybe they can help you track down the issue when you got spare time:
Its not just moves that don't seem to hit anything when a player uses them, but apparently using moves can start causing AI lag for all mobs( even vanilla ) making in even less likely to hit since mobs not there anymore when you fire it off. Not even skeletons can hit you and even if you move they will keep firing on the spot you were at.. sometimes even making a literal sea of arrows in that spot if you don't hit them( even more lag ) and even then they just go back to shooting empty air. Im assuming based off another issue that everything is linked by a common player/pokeplayer desync issue since if a player turns into a flying or floating pokemon and then turns back they can still fly but take fall damage when landing. Haven't got around to testing if other passive attributes like water breathing or fire immunity do it as well but I wouldn't doubt it.
Oh, I also figured a work around for other mods config files after some log reading and testing for other players who want to do so for other mobs:
I can call specific mobs from pokecube( Except alternate forms, they seem to always count as the main pokemon. Ill need to test if configs can use spaces later to call specific forms instead ) for other mods by adding "pokecube_ml.<insert pokemon name here>" into said mods config files. Downside is I legit had to manually add every pokemon into the list by going through and thinking with each one "Logically speaking will this suffocate?" for AR alone for like 6 hours. Thats not even factoring in the MC3 configuration time. Even if someone wanted no pokemon to be effected by other mods features theres no blanket option to select all at once so need to manually go through and add every pokemon to the configs manually. So far ive made and tested a list of all pokemon that should be able to survive without air and also made a list for each MC3 attributes such as fire types don't die from nether damage and dark types can survive on dark aether. Since pokecube doesn't NPE when pointing at a unimplemented mob I was able to work off that to add everything to the lists so it will be in effect after they do get added. Im guessing the lack of NPE is due to the mod technically adding the non-functional pokemon( They're in the database after all ) so thankfully theres no crash when I point at the mobs that don't exist yet. New one on me. I do need to figure out how I can control spawns for other mods biomes, do I just list the name in the spawns.xml or can I just block all pokemon spawning in a dimension/biome in general because having pokemon spawn on dark aether that aren't dark types.. yeah. Its a parade of death so bad I have 3 bag pages fully of berries now
Last but not least I finally did it, I added a new pokemon with a resource pack. Sure its only a alternate form of raichu I was using to test with but its ingame, got a custom moveset, base stats, and I even edited the raichu textures for it.
I was planning to make resource packs for certain mods that add pokemon for compatibility like AR and MC3 and this raichu is basically what I was planning to make pikachu evolve into if a thunderstones used on it in MC3s dark aethers biomes.. problem is I can't figure out how to edit evolution location for other mods biomes so using a dusk stone on pikachu will evolve it as a placeholder. Also having issues with getting the lang file to display its name instead of the base name. That and raichus always evolve into alolan form for me even when outside of a beach biome ignoring location so thats a problem too. Im not complaining since I can never find a beach and alolan raichus awesome, but it does seem like a bug.
Then theres the texture needing to be in the pokecube mobs gen_1 folder instead of the resource pack, im guessing its because its a new raichu form so games looking for a raichu texture where the normal texture is. The pikachu evolution method needs to be in the main mods database too unless I missed how to add that to the resource pack instead. It learns dark pulse as its main move like alolan raichu has psychic and I edited raichu/alolan raichus misc moves for it so it learns more dark moves in exchange for not learning certain moves the other raichus learn.
Anyways, have some screenshots of the raichu so far:
The mob itself
Its even got a shiny form so far
Considering it took MONTHS for me to figure out exactly what to do, ill take it as a victory despite it not being much at the moment. Pretty promising for the future though.. I am gonna have so much fun going wild with eevee and some location based evolutions. End evolution into a ghost type sounds promising after all

I had a couple ideas for MC3 and pokecube cross compatible features,
thought they might seem interesting enough for future thought to
mention.
First and foremost - metroid weapon effects on pokemon:
Using wave beam on a pokemon with the volt absorb ability will heal it instead of damage it.
Using plasma beam on a pokemon with the flash fire ability will raise its special attack instead of damage it.
Using missle, power bomb, morph ball bomb, or super missle near or on a pokemon with damp ability will prevent them from working.
Using dark beam on a pokemon with the justified ability will raise its attack.
Using annihilator beam or sonic boom on a pokemon with the ability soundproof will not damage it.
Pokemon with the download ability can temporarily use MC3 weapons used against them( not even sure this is possible to code in the first place ).
Using plasma beam or light beam on a pokemon with the ability heatproof will halve the damage it takes.
If wave beam is used on a pokemon with the lighting rod ability its special attack is raised istead of doing damage, if the pokemon is rock or ground type nothing happens.
If wave beam is used on a pokemon with the motor drive ability the pokemons speed is raised instead of doing damage.
Beam supers all are damage effective based on what beam its using.

Another feature that would be neat is the ability to make special pokecubes( the mods version of pokeballs ) out of metroid materials. They can certain effects based off of what material its made from:
Chozo compound = catches space based pokemon easier( aka cleffa, clefairy, clefable, lunatone, and solrock )
Red chozo compound = the catch rate is higher the lower the y coord
Orange chozo compound = catch rate is higher for fire types
Purple chozo compound = catch rate is higher the more weight a pokemon has or if the pokemon has the ability levitate
Dark crystal = catches pokemon at night easier, closer to midnight the higher the catch rate
Light crystal = catches pokemon during the day easier, the closer the noon, the higher the catch rate
Phazon = catch rate is higher for dark and poison types
Not even sure if these would work out but they were the best I could throw together on such short notice while being as sick/busy as I am currently( which also means my work on the rest of the dark thaumcraft golem textures is super slow sadly ).
Hopefully this doesn't look too much like random rambling and actually makes some sort of sense, im kind of making this while half asleep and with blurry vision xD
