    Haha, I'm not gonna lie, I don't know how to do everything. But when I come across something I don't know how to do, I either go to guides and try to figure it out, or use Java knowledge and play with code to see what happens and figure it out.

    lol that sucks. Hows the model coming along? Is it fish like?

    Also not to question your knowledge but, do you know what you're doing. I for one would have no clue. From what I've heard you just type random intervals and hope to get what it is you want. That has to suck if its true.


    The model is coming along well. I'm working on it now.

    I do know what I'm doing; I have enough java knowledge to see what I have to do. When it comes to making the body though, it is typing in rough estimates from what you know and hoping for the best, though.

    I'm trying, lol, but I have to say, it's a *****. The thing about blocks and items is that you can craft them and you get immediate results. With mobs, I have to spend 10 minutes walking around aimleslly like an idiot looking for it, rofl.

    Minecraft does not only support squares and rectangles. You make something called "ModelRenderer". Then you pick 8 "coordinates" for where the vertices go, not an actual box. so you can make that. :smile.gif:

    Read about the mod before you download it. The community mod adds NPC's to your game. It was probably one of the NPC's:
    At least 40 new animal, human and monster mobs to find, many with unique properties
    - Face hell each night with Nightmare Mode and scarier AI (on by default, see the options > mod settings screen for more)


    If you don't like it, take the mod off and it should go away.

    Im gonna start from zero,I messed it all up.
    I want to check the steps I need to follow in order to start modding for Minecraft=

    1 (First)-Read the Java Tutorials over at Oracle.
    2-Do some exercises with a tutorial that gives deep information on about how to do them and then check if its right.
    3-Look at the code of some mods such as sleeping etc.
    4-Try to copy them with my own code.

    Is that right or Im missing something?

    What are the things that I need to download for doing those steps? I already have=
    The Java SDK,Which,honestly,I dont know why I even bothered downloading it,as I cant see it as a useful too.
    Eclipse,which,honestly,I dont know what the difference between using it and Notepad++
    Notepad++.

    Also,what if my Idea has been never done before? Then how I start doing it without a reference?


    All ideas come through a reference, no matter how different. If you were the person to make a mod that made guns, your basic reference would be the bow. If you wanted to make spaceships, you'd start with minecarts and player movement to see how that plays out in minecraft.
