No, it's not the responsibility of the consumer, but you can't have a game where the devs are responsible for supporting mods AND prevents users from cheating - one or the other and even then usually 1st parties don't provide anti-cheat. On PC it's usually done through punkbuster, on consoles, it's Sony, MS, or Nintendo that are responsible for their networks. End of story there.

As for FPS bugs - that will always be a debate. I don't have any FPS problems and when I do, through my own troubleshooting, I find it's because the graphical settings are higher than they should be for my laptop's hardware. It's the devs job to make a game, not their job to make a game that works on every PC between the years 2000 and 2010.

ANY game with active updates always warns that the new content/features/updates could render the game useless on older computers. I don't expect it to be any different with Minecraft.

So what, exactly, does that have to do with bugs?

For instance the duplication bug, which is something you can just not do in singleplayer but could also screw up the balance on a multiplayer server than an admin has worked very hard to achieve.

Or how about the fact that the enderdragon fight is still bugged in SMP?

Then there's also a slew of bugs that aren't specific to multiplayer.

Did you just ignore the second half of my post?

    I totally did.

What I was attempting to express is that while this may be a test snapshot, I do not think there will be any significant changes made to ocelots by the actual 1.2 update.

This is the stupidest opinion I have read in awhile. Just to show you how serious I take this the important part of this post will be in bold:

IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSUMER TO FINISH THE PRODUCT. Mojang "released" this game, it is THEIR responsibility to fix bugs in both single and multiplayer. At this point, personally, I'm about fed up with the lack of professionalism at Mojang.

Have you heard of the game Dead Island? It was super buggy when it was released too. You know what the company that made it did? THEY DELAYED DLC WHICH HAD ALREADY BEEN PLANNED TO FIX BUGS.

What does Mojang do in the same situation? THEY GET TIRED OF FIXING BUGS SO THEY DECIDE TO CREATE A NEW BIOME AND NEW MOB INSTEAD.

It's ****ing unprofessional and if I'd known it would turn out this way I would have pirated the game instead of giving them my money.

It's half finished because it hasn't been released yet. You do realize you're playing a development snapshot, right? Not an official release?

You seriously think it's going to be any better when 1.2 comes out? I don't have that sort of optimism when it comes to the work ethic of anyone at Mojang anymore.

Well they made the mob in 1 week so.... Yea... Its probably not finished

Personally, I'm getting really tired of all the half-finished **** in the game.

Not interested in seeing NEW half-finished **** until some of the other stuff is actually ****ing finished.

Frankly, this just show how bad the management is at Mojang. Apparently no one is willing to tell the programmers to finish things before starting a new project.

If cats MUST be included, they should be BRED from ocelots.
It doesn't make sense for a full-on transformation to occur.

Well I guess it's just TOO BAD that Mojang is SUPER LAZY.

I mean, if they actually wanted to put some real time into making a new mob we would have something interesting instead of a new skin for the Wolf and some slight behavior tweaks (Oh, it eats fish and attacks chickens! That's totally different from a wolf! Wheee!)then it would've been nice. But it's very obvious that they just wanted to get a new mob out as quickly as possible, so this is what you get.

    Super disappointing.

Could have had an animal different from all the other mobs.

Instead we just get another wolf re-skinned to look like a cat. Awesome.

Just to let you know, when you report some of the oldest news as if it's exciting and new it makes me want to avoid your server (?) because it seems like you're trying to use this as some sort of server advertising gimmick. Bad advertising too since it gives the impression that your server is horribly behind the times.

posted a message on The Plane (Dimensional Plane)
It's great that you've thought out a whole backstory and metaphysical positioning for this new dimension but you seem to have overlooked one crucial flaw:

The color scheme you've chosen as an example looks so incredibly bad that many people would never, ever want to see this world.

Also, the idea of the "Chaos" system wouldn't be very popular since there are very few people who want another bar of points to keep track of, not to mention all the bugs that would likely come along with implementing that system.

Frankly if you want your suggestion to stand out more then you should try to be a bit different. A new dimension to access doesn't have to have unique mobs or powers. It could just be a new interesting canvas to build on.

    OH MAH GAWD SQUEEEEEEE >3<
I swear to god you need to breed them to make little ocelot babies. Ocelot cubs are just such little bundles of d'awww <3

If you can train then and stuff then I bet they'd be better than wolves.

You should have scrolled all the way to the bottom of page one.

if you look at it closely you can see it is shaded different shades of orange but it has a white muzzel with brown nose so i believe that it could possibly be a tiger

also for some odd reason the chicken looks like it has a tint of red to it

    It most certainly is not.

    Quote from PapaSmurf

Here it is, the color you claim is orange:

    EDIT:

Just to be clear here's another 100 pixel x 100 pixel box which shows a color gradient from dark to light orange.

Keep in mind the "you" in my post there isn't actually you, lordTWeaKslide, but a different person in a 1.1 Discussion thread who thought something in that hidden mob was orange.

EDIT: Also, that color block is from the light colored pixels of the little "ear" thing poking up above the grass. If you'd like to see comparisons from other spots in the picture, just let me know.

All this hype is making me too excited for tomorrow... :\ This new mob coupled with the amazing jungle seed I have is too much to handle.

    Don't get too excited.

It seems when things get highly anticipated that's exactly the time when Mojang runs into delays.

My account is not premium, and I suppose I have no choice but to wait and see if it was only charge once. I better not be charged at all, if it's not premium though.

Well, it doesn't turn premium instantly. You have to wait for the payment to actually go through on their end before you're verified.

If it's already been more than a day and you're still not premium, though, then you likely weren't charged. You can always call your credit card company and ask if there were any recent charges from MojangAB if you don't want to wait for your statement.

Before pistons were added to the vanilla game they were part of a mod. The mod pistons could launch objects, the pistons put into the vanilla game can not.

    Quote from Poloman

I finally got around to buying Minecraft, and once I had finally put in my credit card info and hit the button, a screen appeared saying "Transaction failed, please try again." And so I did. When it didn't work a second time, I clicked back to the main screen and a message appeared saying "Thank you for purchasing Minecraft, your account will be upgraded within the hour" Or such. But... My transaction apparently failed. TWICE. What happened/What do?

First, check to see if your account is premium.

Second, wait for your credit card statement to come and make sure you were only charged once.
