Unfortunately they did not release it for Mac or Linux so I can't play it.
As a sort of sarcasm, it comes up in the Linux Java Launcher, but if you click it brings you to the windows version page.

Because PvP and PvE before 1.9 is terribly boring, it depends on client lag and on players and hardware resisting spamclicking.
Yeah let's add more idiotic stuff to the game so that it breaks even faster. Multiplayer got worse after the so called "bug fix update". I wonder how much worse it will be with this. A few more updates and the game will be unplayable on multiplayer and bam, dead game. Cant wait. >_>
[sarcasm on] Oh this is a very constructive comment, if I were the developers, this is the kind of feedback I would want to receive. [sarcasm off]
If I remember correctly, you need -Xmx at least 2GB for 1.14 - you set 256 MB (last line).
Correct your custom settings.

I don't see any error, do you have more information? It's seems it's looking for a Forge installation but it does not find one, maybe you're not installing optifine on a matching vanilla profile? Which launcher are you using?

You can change the key in the settings.
As per the farm, in the last screen you can put a button on the rightmost woodblock (the one which is one block higher than the others) and see if clicking it activates all the dispensers. If not, but the redstone activates, there could be some limitation server-side. In this case replicate the farm in creative mode in singleplayer: if it works there you can understand that the problem is server-side and so you can read the server rules and/or ask the server admins for advice.

Do the redstone get powered enough to reach those dispensers? Maybe you have to add some repeater on the way from the button to the dispenser line...

Does it happen on that server only or does it happen in singleplayer too?

Try to go in the zone they usually log in in spectator mode and see if there are entities nearby (like a large passive mob farm, or an item farm with overflowing items and so on). My pre 1.13 server was on a dual Atom (!) cpu and usually get along well, until one of the player set up a crops farm with villagers and nearby a sheep farm, pushing up the entities in a single chunk to more that one hundred.
Also, are you on a virtual server? I think your CPU specs are from the physical server so you could have far less cpu than the cpu type shows.

Has you server change it's internal ip? In this case you may have to resetup port-forwarding.
Can you connect to your own server from your network?

3.9 GB of free RAM is the bare minimum to use post 1.13 minecraft with default settings, even under less resource-hungry operating systems like linux, I'm not surprised it gets awhile to launch, with the textures and everything else on the low-end cpu.
If you have problems just with the launcher, you can try to launch minecraft with MultiMC (you have to insert your mojang account, so you aren't pirating anything, Minecraft it's still the original, only the launcher changes).

You probably didn't stop the older server.
Try to locate the process in the task list (I'm assuming you are using windows), and terminate any java process which has some minecraft in it - you may need to see process details in some way if you have other java processes on the server.
Then you can launch the new process.
Also check if you have specified the server-ip= option in the server properties with an ip, it's usually not needed and you can leave that blank so if your server ip changes, the server will come up nonetheless.

I forgot suspicious stew. If you craft it with allium you can have a 4 seconds fire resistance that cat save your life in a pinch.

Before rebooting the router (it can have performance issues and so it could miss forwarding the packets to the internal network), try to delete the port-forwarding rule and create it anew. Some routers have issues to keep the rules ok when their public ip changes, so reinserting the rule may have a positive impact.

Yes, but then it's pretty easier to barter with piglins to drop you one or two if you have spare gold upon entering the Nether
1
As far as I know, you can't have potions of fire protection before going to the nether, unless you're in multiplayer and someone gives one to you or nether wart/blaze rods.
1
This, also remember that a piglin brute will attack you nonetheless so prepare some other mean of protection like golden apples as the guy has an axe that may render your shield inoperative and does 13 damage on one hit with the axe.

It's nice.
I don't like very much the “abuse” of trapdoors for decoration, I would rather have stripped the logs you covered in trapdoors to change the texture (maybe changing wood type to reach the “right” colour).
But the brick and mortar texture is spot on and I like it very much, I'll probably use it myself in some smaller build.

Unfortunately if you run with root, most root processes disregards entries in limits.conf, so maybe there's something else elsewhere.
