What makes you a valuable asset to Farenway?
What I can contribute is my full attention. I live and work for this network/community. I intuitively help, listen, and take every measure possible in setting out a smooth and concrete way of solving/fixing an issue, working alongside fellow staff, keeping my hours on the server more than modest, and most importantly prioritizing my job on the network over my personal gain/progress on the game/server itself. Likewise, I can and will contribute hard work. "Well, sitting down in a comfy chair and watching a screen isn't really hard" wrong. Although it may seem as if that's all moderation is, it's not. I will be going beyond meeting standard expectations and use that drive to work harder so the server and players do not have to. My work will always be prioritized to moderation guidelines/expectations and respected at all times. Furthermore, I will contribute my ambition. For each and every project and server I dedicate my time and attention to, I always show and use my ambition to further extend and enhance it in every way possible. I am always hungry and never satisfied with results/progress because I know no limits and that everything is reachable if you can just reach far enough.
Do you have any experience with server moderation? (What role have you played and what skills have you picked up?)
My experience in fundamentally growing and help in sparking a server/community has consisted of a handful of moderation, administration, and development jobs where I made myself one with the players with a consistent determination, discipline, and modest efficiency to tend to each and every player's needs, wants, questions, and go a further distance with the players in a means to commute, punish, attain, listen, and overall immensely impact the network in the most positive way desirable
How much time are you able to dedicate to the role each week?
I am available to be on the server, forums, skype, and discord for a total of 5-6 hours during the week and 5-9 on the weekends.
· Do you consider yourself mature? (From 1-10)
I think being staff is about being the role models, backbone, and the most critical function of the server. Being staff means putting bias opinions aside in helping players, having self-control and knowing how to be calm in the up-most tense situations, and not having an ego. Being staff means responsibilities: being active on the server/forums, keeping priorities straight, and working in every efficient way possible. It also means leadership: players will look up to staff and go to them for guidance, help, and any and most of their needs. You have to be the ones who set the example, who set the overall image of what the community is about and how things are supposed to work and function whilst respecting each and every player. The staff is furthermore about growing the server and being a fundamental key to its success and prosper by executing every order, exceeding expectations, and by having the positive mentality that every leader has.
· What makes you different from other applicants? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I would identify one of my strengths as being autonomous. As a server owner/administrator, you guys have your own tasks and jobs that keep you occupied so any task/job you delegate towards me I can and will execute them efficiency without bombarding you with unnecessary questions, concerns, and anything that will slow/complicate the process. I would say that another one of my strengths in staffing servers is connecting with the players. Meaning, I can get connected to the players really easy. Personally, I feel as if this quality is one of the most important ones a staff member should consist of. Staff are the backbone of the server and connecting with their players forms the whole community. Another one of mine would be the background knowledge in on-game and off-game experiences. Meaning, I can help players with more than just if a player scammed them. I have experience and knowledge in back-end server work / the technical stuff a lot of players on here don't understand so if they are having connection issues, plugin glitches/problems, etc I can assist in helping them solve and get around their struggles. I also believe my leadership skills is a strength I most handily succeed with. Although I would not be leading if accepted for this job right away, I have the traits and aspects of a leader such as my confidence which is molded by my own positive reinforcement and repetitive success.3. Scenarios
A weakness of mine would be focusing on details too much followed by perfectionism. When working on past projects, I consistently would spot out and acute each and every little detail that was out of place and fix it because, for me, each little detail in a scene plays an immense role in the big picture. Therefore, I've needed extensions on certain deadlines, but with a lot of experience with this and collaborating this weakness to where it wouldn't hurt my reputation, I've managed a way to efficiently and proactively work among this weakness of mine so it doesn't reflect on my duties.
· A player publicly accuses you of abusing your powers. They claim to have proof and demand you to be fired. What would you do?
I Wouldn't do anything, but ask them to show the proof to any other staff member and let them decide because I believe the accused shouldn't explain himself what he did, but proven 100% guilty.
· Your friend is reported for using a hacked client, and you know they’re hacking. How do you handle the report?
Ask my friend to post it on forums, and get their pieces of information and states of the player, then post it on staff chat explaining why I'm banning him, then ban him.
· What would you do if you saw another staff member abusing their power? Explain how you would respond both immediately and after the situation had ended.
I would first talk to the member and explain to him what he is doing is abusive and ask him why he does it. once he stops I'll keep the same relationship with the staff member and just keep a closer eye on him. If he doesn't stop, I would contact a head staff member, and explain to him what happened and let him deal with it because I don't have the power to abuse my powers on anyone even my own staff members.
Anything else you would like to tell us!
I would like to become staff to continuously support the server in thriving among what a success it already is and continue to push it to its full potential. Also, being staff provides the opportunity to work with intelligent bright minded staff, forming an aspiring experience and opportunity to reach any desire and goal for the server that we push for. I've also quickly adapted and fell in love with what this community already provides and being able to work and make it thrive even more is one of the main reasons. Overall, I would like to become a staff member to continue to help the server thrive efficiently, maintain a controlled, prosperous community, and be someone along with the other staff that keeps this spark lit and soon ignited into a wildfire of a mammoth success.
