I shouldn't link this to you after what your previous comments were. Here try this and please tell me if it works:
    http://projects.sappharad.com/tools/multipatch.html

Sadly, it will try to update when I start and overwrite the patched jars. I did find my old XP disc, so I could try that soon.

What do you mean by "start and overwrite:, do you mean minecraft launcher or the patcher?

After using the minecraft launcher, I will log in and it will overwrite.

The issue I can see in your terminal use is that you are trying to combine all of your commands into a single step...

FIRST type "cd users/twayneu/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin" (no quotes), press return.

    THEN use the bspatch command.

    Should work just fine.
    --------------------------------------------------
@68x: Sorry about that, man. Went back and edited my posts :smile.gif:

Ahhhh, yes. We obviously live in very different time zones, when I had first read to use the 'cd' command I was on my way to school, by the time I reached home I had forgotten it. I remembered that I had done something different, but I could not remember what.
Now it will ask me if I want to update, when I select no, it will black screen. I cut the video, the black screen is indefinite and does not crash. Oddly, it will close right when you click the 'X'. Frozen or glitching programs usually take a second.

can you add a option to change place where hatch is placed
    for eg
1.place it -it will be on the bottom of the block
2.right click - and it will be at the top of the block

    map for understanding picture:

    :White: :White:
    :White: :White: -1 block

    :wood: :wood: -hatch
    so
    1 will be

    :White: :White:
    :White: :White: :wood: :wood:

    2 you right click

    :White: :White: :wood: :wood:
    :White: :White:
    p.s.
    I hope you understood me=)
    Gr8 mod by the way=)

Unfortunately it would require a new block ID something which I work to avoid. The hatches and fences use the same block ID of the doors, and their is no way to squeeze more work out of it. And at this point it would require a major rewrite of a large portion of my code to add a new one.

I ultimately decided on sealing the bottom side so you can put it directly over a ladder and climb out without having to jump out, and because I could think of no great use for a hatch on the other side.

I must say i realy like your mod so much Stairs etc with so few ID's needed its awesome.

I will try it out when i'm home *thumps up*

But one question do the new stairs etc take the textures from packs? i saw it in another mod
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=229800

That would make your mod to so freaking cool :Diamond:

Yes it uses the texture from whatever pack is selected.

Mhmm. I haven't had a problem with your mods before, but now it crashes when I start the game after loading my world.

Post the contents of your .minecraft\ModLoader.txt after a crash (EDIT: or your world).
I looked at the ML txt, nothing looked out of place. It said that everything was loaded fine. The problem is right when it loads the world, it crashes. I will post the world, when I figure out how.

hm. Well, I would suggest renaming the original files by adding a 1 to the name (lwjgl1.jar etc). Make sure you have the patch files for the version you want in the minecraft/bin. When you enter the bspatch command, for <newfile>, put in the original name of the file, i.e.-

    bspatch minecraft1.jar minecraft.jar minecraft.ptch

When you have finished this process, erase the old files and the ptch files from the bin directory. If you have done all of this and the game still refuses to boot properly, that's when you should attempt the second half of what I was talking about in the previous post: The bootcamp Windows environment.

Yes, the x86 patcher is a vista/win 7 program only, I think. I was suggesting that, if you cannot get any of this to work in the Mac-only environment, you should follow your own advice and try it inside the bootcamp Windows environment. You will likely have to install Python 2.7 inside the bootcamp Windows environment in order for the patchers to work; it is doubtful that any such utilities (java, python, etc.) are included in your Windows virtual machine. Further, if it is like a Linux Windows emulator, it will likely create it's own file structure...which means any incidence of Minecraft inside the bootcamp environment would probably be separate from one inside the Mac environment, and thus any changes made to the folder and jar's might not be reflected in your Macintosh file structure.

What this all means is that if you successfully patch the files inside the Bootcamp Windows environment, you would probably have to play Minecraft inside of it thereafter in order to use that version. Which could actually be a plus....Windows to run 1.4_01, Mac to run 1.5_01 :biggrin.gif:

Yea, I've been getting the error doing that. This picture clearly shows everything in place:

That's no problem, I can use a windows system. But I was thinking I would get the 1.3_01 bin on the windows system, move it to a USB drive and put it on the mac.

Which method are you using to gain this error? MCnostalgia, x86, bsdiff, GnuWin32, netbeans?

    Also, according to:

    http://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comme ... e_by_5x7x/

....running Minecraft inside the bootcamp windows environment is preferable to a pure Mac build, as far as performance goes. Obtain and install Python 2.7 inside the Windows environment, and try patching using the Cyborg patcher, then x86's if that fails.

Edit: Be sure to follow the specific instructions included in the readme for whichever patcher version you decide to use. Read them carefully, follow them carefully!

I uninstalled netbeans don't have GnuWin32 and isn't x68 only a vista/7 program? I actually didn't use any. I just went into terminal, navigated to minecraft/bin and typed bspatch <current name> <new name> <patch>. Sometimes it will say something like: bspatch: fopen(jinput.ptch) No file or directory. and it won't do anything.

OK, now it let me patch the files to 1.3_01. However when I launch I crash at the Mojang screen. Is it because the other files in the bin are 1.5_01? Like the natives folder and md5s.
    Sometimes it will update automatically.

Wait, since I am on a Mac I can also run windows through boot camp. Do you think that it will act normal then?

Excuse me, don't mean to interrupt your conversation. Does this mod work with 1.4_01? Sadly, I don't have a back up of 1.3_01 or earlier and MCNostaliga is worthless for macs.

    try /Users/<yourUsername>/Library/Application Support/minecraft, or
    ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft (~ is the tilde key).

Alternately, and much more simply.............download Netbeans here:

    http://netbeans.org/index.html

follow the installation instructions for Mac OS here:

    http://netbeans.org/community/releases/ ... nstall_mac

And follow the patching instructions here:

    viewtopic.php?f=1022&t=113094&start=420#p4481850

    Cheers!

ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING? IT WON'T EVEN LET ME PUT THE .JAR FILE IN TO BE PATCHED.
    1. Start a new project, and right-click on the file or folder you want to patch (this is going to be the .jar's inside the .minecraft/bin folder [Linux, Windows] or the /Users/<yourUsername>/Library/Application Support/minecraft folder [Mac OS]). It's possible that the tool will let you patch the whole folder at once, but for surety and functionality, just put the .jar's through this process individually.

A HURR ****ING DURR MOTHER****ER YOU CAN'T PUT IN THE .JAR, ONLY THE FOLDER.

    2. Select "Tools > Apply Diff Patch

    THE PATCH CANNOT BE APPLIED
Let's try to go back to the normal MCnostalgia. I will make a video of how I try to use it.

    Uploading video...

I made a tutorial, on page 14. "Making it work in Linux." The Mac OS terminal is capable of running the unix-based bsdiff, so the commands should work just fine. And bsdiff is free, so yeah :wink.gif:

Here is my problem, that is a great tutorial but I can't understand how to get to the minecraft folder (on a mac it isn't .minecraft, I tried that too.) Here is a picture of the things I typed into terminal. This is how you would get to the minecraft folder on a mac.
