To be honest, your previous history with hacks on survival servers makes us just a little bit nervous, especially since we recently had to give a hacker (who was well liked by the community for giving away free diamonds and ill-gotten goods) the boot You also missed one of the reading check questions. I'm going to give you a soft "no" for now. Sorry.

Then I found two naturally spawned villages which had been slightly modified with a couple of box houses added to them. I saw a box house made out of polished andesite, and one home made out of spruce, which I assume was gathered from very far away as they had started a small spruce farm. Because the rewards and ranks on this server were made to reward building towns/kingdoms, I assumed there might be a higher standard of builds here. Unfortunately this is another server that falls short of its ambitions due to an excess of poor builders in the Minecraft community.

I apologize if this offends the server owner or the players, but this is just my brutally honest opinion. This server would probably be great for any regular player, and I'm sure the community is nice enough. But it just isn't at my level when it comes to building. I don't belong here. :/

I'm very impressed that you managed to travel 10k x 10k worth of land in your limited time on our server -- that's a feat I can't claim to have accomplished. You have not been running around "a while," sir, you were here for a max of 5 hours (and I don't think you were on the server for that uninterrupted time span). It's funny how people who have been here longer (ie, 5+ hours) have found small pocket biomes (mooshroom, swamplands, dark forest, and snow) and some amplified extreme hill and savannah areas. Clearly we're not experts like you claim to be and I'm sorry the lack of proper builders here offended you.

And yes, I found you very rude, but your posting history leads me to believe that you're difficult wherever you go, so I won't take you to heart. It was unfair of you to sweep everyone under the rug as "poor" and not up to your standards when it's clear you've barely spent any time here. A review from someone who had spent at least a couple of days on the server would have been more welcome; yours was unsolicited, lacked any sort of depth or understanding of what the server has to offer, and your only interaction with the community was this negative little snit. The politer thing to do would have been to just go rather than insult a community that was ready to welcome you.

These are some of the most amazing--not "just nice enough"-- AMAZING people I've met and we do have some very talented survival builders. It's truly your loss for judging everyone so briskly because you didn't get your way or find what you wanted immediately. Some people would find open land as an opportunity to build, find new ores, loot temples, etc. as opposed to a world that's all used up. We wish you luck in finding something more on your "level."

Just an update to new members and those who may be following the thread: Our world border has been expanded! We were previously 3000 blocks out from spawn. Now you can travel out to an 8000 block radius from the coords 0, 0.

Well, we're still fairly new, so not a whole lot has been established in terms of towns. There are currently two settlements: Cerberus and The United Districts. There are also a couple of people who I think are trying to set up new places (JT80, Bloodrain, CuppieQuake + binlaggin -- I think?). Come on in and ask around. Someone will happily let you join.

We are a 99% whitelisted, vanilla, survival server with some non-obstructive Bukkit plugins to prevent destruction, theft, and general ugliness. We also have a few more fun plugins that make it easier to communicate with multiple players. We boast a strong, close-knit community with friendly and mature members. Settlement

Requirements
In order to be recognized as a settlement, you will need to have the following:

• Two or more players
• Each player must have a home/base/shelter
• Each player must have been playing for at least 7 days on the server.
• One or more completed public (not a home) building. Note that these should be nice, complete buildings and not makeshift dirt or cobblestone shelters
• Two food farms (either plants or animals)
• Must agree on a settlement color
Rewards

• Upon receiving approval from Zherix, these will be your rewards:
Member Perks:

• One wolf spawn egg for each member of the settlement
• A colored banner of the settlement's color
• All settlers will receive the option to claim and protect two horses
World Perks:

• A sign with the settlement's coords posted at spawn's west gate

Village

Requirements

In order to be recognized as a village, you will need to have the following:

• A designated village leader
• Designated village colors and a village banner.
• Must have spent 2 weeks as an active settlement
• Four residents (the leader + 3 others)
• A house/base/shelter for every resident
• Each resident must have been active on the server for at least 1 week.
• Three community farms (plants, animals, or hostile mobs)
• A visible border showing where your village starts and ends. This can be a road, a fence, a river, a wall, etc. It just needs to be clear where members of your village can build and where outsiders can't.
• You are welcome to expand this border as the village grows.
• A village storage area for shared materials.
Rewards
Upon receiving approval from Zherix, these will be your rewards:

• Member Perks:
• A rabbit spawn egg.
• A set of leather armor designed in the village's colors
• A book & quill
• All villagers will receive the option to claim and protect 4 horses
World Perks:

• The village will receive their own designated office at spawn to decorate how they choose.
• All members of the village will receive the suffix "of VillageName"
• A discovery warp pad to make it easier to return home and to attract visitors
Leader Perks:

• The leader will receive the title of "Fyrd" before his/her username
• A set of enchanted leather armor in the village's colors.

Town

Requirements
In order to be counted as a town, you will need to have the following:

• A designated town leader
• Six or more active residents
• A house/base/shelter for every resident
• Each resident must have been active on the server for at least 2 weeks.
• A town hall/visitor center
• A town charter in the town hall/visitor center
• A least one lit road, safe for horses, connecting to another village, town, city, or metropolis
• An established marketplace
• One town attraction
- This is open to interpretation, but it should be neat enough that people would want to travel out of their way to come see it.
Ideas: a mob grinder, sculpture, game, minecart coaster, a unique public building, etc. -- be creative!

Rewards
Upon receiving approval from Zherix, these will be your rewards:

• All members of the town will receive a villager spawn egg named "TownName Villager".
• All members of the town will receive the suffix "of TownName" after their username
• All members will receive the option to claim and protect 6 horses
• All members will have access to Minecraft's chat colors
World Perks:

• The town banner will be displayed in the center of spawn's garden
• The town will have the option to start an Outpost in another biome
Leader Perks:

• The leader will receive the title of "Thane" before his/her username
• A special mule
• A saddle

City

Requirements

In order to become a city, you will need to have the following:

• A designated city leader
• Eight or more active residents
• Each resident must have a home/base/shelter.
• Each resident must be active for at least 3 weeks
• A least two lit roads, safe for horses, connecting to another village, town, city, or metropolis
• A nicely built, lit, safe road to one of spawn's main roads
• A fully charged enchanting table for city use
• A lit beacon so the city can be seen from far away
• A cohesive theme throughout the city in either building style or materials
• A library preferably with at least 3 unique, written books
• Two city attractions
• This is open to interpretation, but it should be neat enough that people would want to travel out of their way to come see it.
Ideas: a mob grinder, sculpture, game, minecart coaster, a unique public building, etc. -- be creative!

Rewards
Upon receiving approval from Zherix, these will be your rewards:

• Member Perks:
• A ocelot spawn egg for each active member
• A colored name and title
(the color must be agreed on by the leader and members)

• All members of the town will receive the suffix "of CityName" after their username
• All members will receive the option to claim and protect 8 horses
World Perks:

• The option to start a third Outpost (for a grand total of 2)
• An additional discovery warp (for a total of 2)
Leader Perks:

• The leader will receive the title of "Jarl" before his/her username
• For every 5 members, the leader may appoint one second-in-command
• The leader will receive a special enchanted sword

Metropolis

Requirements
In order to become a metropolis, you will need to have the following:

• A designated metropolis leader
• Ten or more active residents
• A house/base/shelter for every resident
• Each resident must have been active on the server for at least 4 weeks.
• Lit, visible roads linking all buildings together
• A least five lit roads, beautifully built and safe for horses, connecting to other villages, towns, cities, or metropolises
• An Ender Dragon Egg to prove your heroics in battle against the feared beast that plagues the realm
• Three beacons so your metropolis can be seen from miles around.
A cohesive theme throughout the metropolis in either building style or materials

• Three attractions
This is open to interpretation, but it should be neat enough that people would want to travel out of their way to come see it.
Ideas: a mob grinder, sculpture, game, minecart coaster, a unique public building, etc. -- be creative!


Rewards
Upon receiving approval from Zherix, these will be your rewards:

• A random music disc
• A name tag
• All members of the town will receive the suffix "of MetropolisName" after their username

• The house must have decided colors and a banner
• A border/fence/wall that shows your claimed land
• A "center" with clearly posted rules and regulations for visitors
• Two of the following builds:
• - An inn with beds for visitors
• - A library with written books
• - A PvP arena with stadium
• - A horse arena/racetrack
• Either an Ender Dragon Egg OR three functioning beacons
• Four lit, horse-safe roads to other villages, towns, cities, or other metropolises
